Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said in a "video interview with Axios" that the memorandum of understanding signed with the Iranian government can be considered "a kind of complete surrender" from Tehran.

He made these remarks in response to a question about the difference between his previous demand for "unconditional surrender" and the terms of the memorandum.

The Axios host reminded Trump during the interview that he had initially stated he would only accept "unconditional surrender" from Iran, but the signed memorandum does not reflect that image. Trump responded, "Well, it’s probably actually unconditional surrender. I think that’s the way it is."

The President of the United States also noted regarding the recent war that the United States has "completely defeated Iran militarily." Praising the military capabilities of the U.S., he added that Washington was able to impose an effective naval blockade against Iran, and no ships were able to pass through it. Trump also stated that after the war with Iran, he sees no limits to his power.

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، در«گفتگو ی تصویری با اکسیوس» گفت یادداشت تفاهم امضاشده با حکومت ایران را می‌توان «نوعی تسلیم کامل» از سوی تهران دانست.

او این اظهارات را در پاسخ به پرسشی درباره تفاوت میان خواسته پیشین خود برای «تسلیم بی‌قیدوشرط» و مفاد تفاهم‌نامه مطرح کرد.

مجری آکسیوس در این مصاحبه به ترامپ یادآوری کرد که در آغاز درگیری‌ها گفته بود تنها «تسلیم بی‌قیدوشرط» را از ایران خواهد پذیرفت، اما یادداشت تفاهم امضاشده چنین تصویری را نشان نمی‌دهد. ترامپ در پاسخ گفت: «خب، احتمالا در واقع تسلیم بی‌قیدوشرط است. فکر می‌کنم همین‌طور باشد.»

رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا همچنین با اشاره به جنگ اخیر گفت ایالات متحده ایران را «کاملا از نظر نظامی شکست داده است». او با تمجید از توان نظامی آمریکا افزود واشینگتن توانست محاصره دریایی موثری علیه ایران اعمال کند و هیچ کشتی‌ای نتوانست از آن عبور کند.
ترامپ همچنین گفت پس از جنگ با ایران، محدودیتی برای قدرت خود نمی‌بیند.
