Following the announcement from the White House regarding the cancellation of Donald Trump's deputy's trip to Switzerland, the foreign ministry of this European country officially confirmed the cancellation of the American delegation's trip and the cancellation of negotiations between Tehran and Washington on Friday.

The immediate cancellation of negotiations between the two hostile countries occurs just one day after the signing and formalization of an agreement, one of the most important clauses of which grants a 60-day opportunity for negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear activities. This 60-day period was supposed to begin immediately on Friday.

However, the Tasnim news agency, close to the Revolutionary Guards, reported on Thursday that Iranian negotiators need to see signs of the temporary agreement being implemented by the U.S. before the next round of peace talks begins, and there is still no confirmation regarding the Iranian delegation's trip to Geneva.

Following the release of this news, the White House spokesperson also stated in a statement published on Thursday night that Vance and the American delegation were ready to depart as soon as the negotiation schedule was finalized.

در پی اعلام کاخ سفید مبنی بر لغو سفر معاون دونالد ترامپ به سوئیس، وزارت خارجه این کشور اروپایی رسما خبر لغو سفر هیئت آمریکایی و لغو مذاکرات تهران و واشینگتن در روز جمعه را تأیید کرد.

لغو آغاز فوری مذاکرات بین دو کشور متخاصم تنها یک روز پس از امضا و رسمی شدن تفاهم‌نامه‌ای رخ می‌دهد که یکی از مهم‌ترین بندهای آن ۶۰ روز فرصت برای مذاکره درباره فعالیت هسته‌ای ایران است. قرار بود این ۶۰ روز بلافاصله در روز جمعه آغاز شود.

اما خبرگزاری تسنیم، نزدیک به سپاه پاسداران، روز پنج‌شنبه خبر داد که مذاکره‌کنندگان ایرانی پیش از آغاز دور بعدی گفت‌وگوهای صلح نیاز دارند نشانه‌هایی از اجرای توافق موقت از سوی آمریکا مشاهده کنند و هنوز تأییدی درباره سفر هیئت ایرانی به ژنو وجود ندارد.

در پی این انتشار این خبر بود که سخنگوی کاخ سفید هم در بیانیه‌ای که پنج‌شنبه شب منتشر شد، اعلام کرد ونس و هیئت آمریکایی آماده بودند به محض نهایی شدن برنامه مذاکرات، عازم شوند.
