♦️ Donald Trump, the President of the United States, in an interview with the "Axios Show," defended his decision to initiate military operations in Iran, describing the officials of the Islamic Republic as "very smart" and "primitive geniuses," while warning that they are also very unpredictable.

Trump, referring to the recent military intervention by the United States, said: "I had to take action to stop them; because if they had nuclear weapons, they would definitely use them and create real chaos by blowing up several cities, including in Israel."

He emphasized that if it weren't for his action to withdraw from the JCPOA, Israel would have been destroyed years ago, considering the Obama-era agreement as a pathway for the Islamic Republic of Iran to acquire a nuclear bomb. Trump also expressed surprise at the timing of the confrontation with Iran, adding: "What surprised me was that they waited so long. They waited for me to come back to power; of course, this was not intentional on their part. No one, even with the weapon-making government structure against me, thought I would return, but I came back with a bigger roar than before."

♦️ دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، در مصاحبه‌ای با برنامه «آکسیوس شو» با دفاع از تصمیم خود برای شروع عملیات نظامی در ایران، مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی را «بسیار باهوش» و «نابغه‌های بدوی» توصیف کرد و هشدار داد که آن‌ها در عین حال بسیار غیرقابل‌پیش‌بینی هستند.

ترامپ با اشاره به مداخله نظامی اخیر ایالات متحده گفت: «من مجبور به اقدام شدم تا جلوی آن‌ها را بگیرم؛ چون اگر سلاح هسته‌ای داشتند، حتما از آن استفاده می‌کردند و با منفجر کردن چند شهر، از جمله در اسرائیل، هرج‌ومرجی واقعی به راه می‌انداختند.»

او با تاکید بر اینکه اگر اقدام او در لغو برجام نبود، اسرائیل سال‌ها پیش نابود شده بود، توافق دوران اوباما را مسیری هموار برای دستیابی جمهوری اسلامی ایران به بمب اتم دانست. ترامپ همچنین با ابراز شگفتی از زمان‌بندی تقابل با ایران افزود: «چیزی که مرا غافلگیر کرد این بود که آن‌ها این‌قدر منتظر ماندند. آن‌ها صبر کردند تا من به قدرت بازگردم؛ البته این کارشان عمدی نبود. هیچ‌کس، حتی با وجود سلاح‌سازی ساختار حکومتی علیه من، فکر نمی‌کرد بازگردم، اما من با خروشی بزرگ‌تر از قبل بازگشتم.»
