Protests by women against mining activities near two villages in the provinces of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan turned violent with the presence of law enforcement.

According to reports, women from the Peshmooki village in the Faryab district of Kerman province gathered on June 17 as part of ongoing public protests regarding the allocation and exploitation of the Peshmooki chromite mine.

It has been reported that law enforcement not only beat the protesters but also arrested several of them.

Additionally, Baluch sources have reported that women from the Sarsiah village in the Taftan district of Sistan and Baluchestan also gathered on June 16 to protest the expansion of gold mining activities in Taftan and its consequences on the lives of local people.

In a video that has been released, it can be heard that law enforcement officers violently confronted these women with threats, insults, and derogatory language.

تجمع‌های اعتراضی زنان به فعالیت‌های معدنی حوالی دو روستا در استان‌های کرمان و سیستان‌وبلوچستان با حضور نیروی انتظامی به خشونت کشیده شد.

بر اساس گزارش‌ها زنان روستای پشموکی از توابع فاریاب استان کرمان روز ۲۷ خرداد در ادامه اعتراضات مردمی نسبت به نحوه واگذاری و بهره‌برداری از معدن کرومیت پشموکی تجمع کرده بودند.

گفته شده که نیروی انتظامی علاوه بر ضرب‌وشتم معترضان، شماری از آن‌ها را بازداشت کرد.

هم‌چنین منابع بلوچ گزارش داده‌اند که زنان روستای سرسیاه از توابع تفتان استان سیستان‌وبلوچستان هم روز ۲۶ خرداد در اعتراض به گسترش فعالیت‌های معدن طلای تفتان و پیامدهای آن بر زندگی مردم منطقه تجمع کرده بودند.

در ویدئویی که منتشر شده شنیده می‌شود که مأموران نیروی انتظامی با خشونت، تهدید، توهین و واژه‌های تحقیرآمیز با این زنان برخورد کردند.
