Half an hour from the three-hour conversation between J.D. Vance and Joe Rogan, the part related to Iran.

J.D. Vance, the Deputy Vice President of the United States, criticized what he called "war hawks" in America and other countries during his conversation with Joe Rogan, stating that these individuals are trying to undermine the negotiations of Donald Trump's administration with the Islamic Republic by spending vast amounts of money and changing public opinion in the U.S.

Vance defended the Trump administration's approach, emphasizing that diplomacy is essential for resolving the crisis of attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, and stated that alongside military actions, dialogue is the only way to address this crisis.

The more reactive part:
... I read two things between the lines. I think some of them want the Iranian government to change completely; the clerics to be overthrown and a much friendlier individual to take their place.
Look, what has our experience been with doing such a thing? It hasn't been good. It hasn't been good. It hasn't been good.
If the people of Iran want to rise up and change their government, the decision is theirs; but we are not sending 150,000 ground troops to effect a regime change unless the people inside the country themselves want such an outcome.
In any case, we are not going to send forces; but suggesting sending troops essentially means you are saying the U.S. military should do the work for the people of Iran. We are no longer in that business. Really, we are not.

The second outcome that I think some people want — whether they are aware of it or not — is something I call the "Libya outcome."
If you look at the final result of our policy in Libya after Gaddafi was killed by the Obama administration — again, a very foolish decision — what happened? Libya effectively became a failed state. A refugee crisis emerged. People flooded into Europe, went to other parts of Asia and Africa. A lot of violence and terrorism came out of that.
I think there are people who want the same outcome in Iran. But I ask again: what is in our interest? How is it in the interest of the United States for 94 million desperate people to flood into Europe and the United States and for the terrorist infrastructure that can form when you scatter terrorists around the world?
We have already conducted this experiment. Our current policy and the goal we are pursuing is to keep the Strait open and ensure the free flow of oil and gas. Obviously, we want to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapons program and use diplomatic tools and military power to achieve that.

جی‌دی ونس، معاون رییس‌جمهوری آمریکا، در گفت‌وگو با جو روگن از آنچه «جنگ‌طلبان» در آمریکا و دیگر کشورها خواند، انتقاد کرد و گفت این افراد با صرف هزینه‌های گسترده تلاش می‌کنند مذاکرات دولت دونالد ترامپ با جمهوری اسلامی را به شکست بکشانند و افکار عمومی آمریکا را تغییر دهند.

ونس با دفاع از رویکرد دولت ترامپ، تاکید کرد دیپلماسی برای حل بحران حمله‌ها به کشتی‌رانی در تنگه هرمز ضروری است و گفت در کنار اقدامات نظامی، گفت‌وگو تنها راه رسیدگی به این بحران است.

... من دو چیز را از میان سطرها می‌خوانم. فکر می‌کنم بعضی از آن‌ها می‌خواهند حکومت ایران به‌طور کامل تغییر کند؛ روحانیان سرنگون شوند و فردی بسیار دوستانه‌تر جایگزینشان شود.
ببین، تجربهٔ ما از انجام چنین کاری چیست؟ خوب نبوده. خوب نبوده. خوب نبوده.
اگر مردم ایران بخواهند قیام کنند و حکومتشان را تغییر دهند، تصمیم با خودشان است؛ اما ما ۱۵۰ هزار نیروی زمینی نمی‌فرستیم تا تغییر یک حکومت را رقم بزنیم، مگر اینکه مردم داخل کشور خودشان خواهان چنین نتیجه‌ای باشند.
در هر صورت قرار نیست نیرو بفرستیم؛ اما پیشنهاد اعزام نیرو یعنی عملاً می‌گویی ارتش آمریکا باید کار مردم ایران را برایشان انجام دهد. ما دیگر در این کار نیستیم. واقعاً نیستیم.

نتیجهٔ دومی که فکر می‌کنم بعضی‌ها خواهانش هستند ــ چه خودشان آگاه باشند چه نه ــ چیزی است که من «نتیجهٔ لیبی» می‌نامم.
اگر به نتیجهٔ نهایی سیاست ما در لیبی پس از کشته‌شدن قذافی به دست دولت اوباما نگاه کنی ــ باز هم تصمیمی بسیار احمقانه ــ چه اتفاقی افتاد؟ لیبی عملاً به کشوری شکست‌خورده تبدیل شد. بحران پناه‌جویان به وجود آمد. مردم به اروپا سرازیر شدند، به بخش‌های دیگر آسیا و آفریقا رفتند. خشونت و تروریسم زیادی از دل آن بیرون آمد.
فکر می‌کنم افرادی هستند که می‌خواهند همین نتیجه در ایران رخ دهد. اما باز می‌پرسم: چه چیزی به سود ماست؟ چطور به سود ایالات متحده است که ۹۴ میلیون انسان درمانده به اروپا و ایالات متحده سرازیر شوند و زیرساخت‌های تروریستی که وقتی تروریست‌ها را در سراسر جهان پراکنده می‌کنی، می‌تواند شکل بگیرد؟
ما قبلاً این آزمایش را انجام داده‌ایم. سیاست کنونی ما و هدفی که دنبال می‌کنیم این است که تنگه را باز نگه داریم و جریان آزاد نفت و گاز را تضمین کنیم. بدیهی است که می‌خواهیم مانع داشتن برنامهٔ تسلیحات هسته‌ای توسط ایران شویم و از ابزارهای دیپلماسی و قدرت نظامی برای رسیدن به آن استفاده کنیم.
