Donald Trump, the President of the United States, reacted to the killing of two American soldiers in Jordan by saying to NewsNation: "It's very sad, it's really a very sad event. We hate to see such a thing. They lost their lives in the service of our country."

In another part of this interview, Trump firmly reiterated that "Iran cannot and must not have nuclear weapons."

He also completely disregarded the statements of Iranian officials regarding the suspension of Tehran's commitments under the temporary agreement from a month ago, declaring that he does not care about Iran's decision.

Previously, Kazem Gharibabadi, the Deputy for Legal and International Affairs at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, stated on Saturday, July 27, that the U.S. has violated all its commitments under the Islamabad agreement, and Iran has also halted its commitments.

ترامپ در بخش دیگری از این مصاحبه با مواضعی قاطع، بار دیگر تأکید کرد که «ایران نمی‌تواند و نباید سلاح هسته‌ای داشته باشد.»

او همچنین در واکنش به اظهارات مقامات جمهوری اسلامی مبنی بر تعلیق تعهدات تهران در قبال توافق موقت یک ماه پیش، با بی‌اعتنایی کامل اعلام کرد که اهمیتی به این تصمیم ایران نمی‌دهد.

پیش از این، کاظم غریب‌آبادی، معاون حقوقی و بین‌الملل وزارت امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، شنبه ۲۷ تیر، گفت آمریکا همه تعهدات خود ذیل تفاهمنامه اسلام‌آباد را نقض کرده و ایران نیز اجرای تعهداتش را متوقف کرده است.
