Media inside Iran has reported the closure of several cafes and restaurants in downtown Tehran. According to these reports, Cafe Joo, 1401, Sam Cafe (twice), Novok, and Theory have been shut down on Sanai and Iranshahr streets. The website Emtehad wrote that different reasons were provided for each of these cafes, including "hijab, having sandwiches on the menu, and seating on the sidewalk." The closure of cafes and restaurants for reasons such as hijab or live music has a long history.

On Wednesday (a few days ago), a closure order was issued for 9 cafes inside Ekbatan Phase 1 without any justification (they only said hijab was not observed), and all the cafes were shut down.

رسانه‌های داخل ایران از پلمب چند کافه و رستوران در مرکز شهر تهران خبر داده‌اند.
براساس این گزارش‌ها جو کافه، ۱۴۰۱، سام‌کافه، دو بار، نووک و تئوری در خیابان‌های سنایی و ایرانشهر پلمب‌ شده‌اند.
وبسایت امتداد نوشت که به هریک از این کافه‌ها دلیل متفاوتی ارائه شده است از جمله «حجاب، داشتن ساندویچ در منو و صندلی در پیاده‌رو».
پلمب کافه‌ها و رستوران‌ها به دلایلی مثل حجاب یا موسیقی زنده سابقه طولانی دارد.

چهارشنبه (چندروز پیش) به ۹ تا کافه داخل اکباتان فاز یک حکم پلمب دادند بدون هیچ توجیهی (فقط گفتن حجاب رعایت نشد) و همه کافه ها رو پلمب کردن.
