Jean-Noël Barrot, the French Foreign Minister, announced on X that two employees of the French embassy were subjected to "severe threats and intimidating behavior" by the security forces of the Islamic Republic on Sunday.

Barrot stated that this action is a clear violation of the diplomatic immunities that these individuals are entitled to. The French Foreign Minister added: "They were detained for several hours without any reason and were interrogated, and one of them was also beaten."

He said: "They eventually managed to return to the embassy and are now safe there until they return to France in the coming hours."

Barrot emphasized that he has informed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, that "this unacceptable assault on the health and safety of our staff will not go unanswered."

ژان نوئل بارو، وزیر خارجه فرانسه، در شبکه ایکس اعلام کرد که دو نفر از کارکنان سفارت این کشور یک‌شنبه از سوی نیروهای امنیتی جمهوری اسلامی مورد «تهدید و رفتار ارعاب‌آمیز شدید» قرار گرفتند.

بارو گفت این اقدام نقض آشکار مصونیت‌های دیپلماتیکی است که این افراد از آن برخوردارند.
وزیر خارجه فرانسه افزود: «آن‌ها بدون هیچ دلیلی برای چندین ساعت بازداشت بودند و مورد بازجویی قرار گرفتند و یکی از آن‌ها نیز مورد ضرب‌وشتم قرار گرفت.»

او گفت: «آنها سرانجام توانستند به سفارت برگردند و اکنون در آنجا در امنیت به سر می‌برند تا در ساعات آینده به فرانسه بازگردند.»

بارو تاکید کرد به عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، اطلاع داده‌ که «این تعرض غیرقابل‌قبول به سلامت و امنیت کارکنان ما، بدون پیامد نخواهد ماند».
