♦️Donald Trump on Thursday, August 1, wrote in a message on the social media platform Truth Social, recalling the U.S. military attacks against the Houthis that took place last year: "Since then, the Houthis have behaved responsibly during their conflict with Iran, but unfortunately, with last night's shooting at two Saudi ships, they have once again launched attacks."

Trump warned that if these actions are repeated, the United States will hold the Islamic Republic of Iran responsible as the supporter of the Houthis. He emphasized that in that case, significant military penalties would be imposed on Iran as well as the Houthis themselves; a group that, according to him, had previously acted professionally and intelligently, but their recent action is a cause for "regret."

♦️دونالد ترامپ روز پنجشنبه اول مرداد، در پیامی در شبکه اجتماعی تروث سوشال با یادآوری حملات نظامی ایالات متحده علیه حوثی‌ها که سال گذشته انجام شد، نوشت: «حوثی‌ها از آن زمان و در جریان درگیری با ایران، رفتار مسئولانه‌ای داشتند، اما متاسفانه با تیراندازی شب گذشته به دو کشتی عربستان سعودی، بار دیگر دست به حملات زده‌اند.»

ترامپ هشدار داد که اگر این اقدامات تکرار شود، آمریکا جمهوری اسلامی ایران را به عنوان حامی حوثی‌ها مسئول خواهد دانست. او تاکید کرد که در این صورت، مجازات نظامی بزرگی بر ایران و همچنین خودِ حوثی‌ها تحمیل خواهد شد؛ گروهی که به گفته او، تا پیش از این حرفه‌ای و هوشمندانه عمل کرده بودند اما اقدام اخیرشان مایه «تاسف» است.
