The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed on Thursday that it considers a base in British territory, from which U.S. B-1 bombers take off, to be a "legitimate target" for attacks.

Axios previously reported, citing U.S. government officials, that the U.S. military used a long-range B-1 bomber for the first time in a new round of attacks on Iran on Tuesday, targeting facilities belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Axios noted that the bomber used in this attack took off from an airbase in Britain. This news site referred to Fairford Air Base in southwestern England, where currently 18 B-1 bombers of the U.S. are stationed.

Now, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has stated in a message: "Any base used to attack Iranian territory is a legitimate target for us."

In its message, the Guard claimed that following the resumption of attacks, the U.S. initially attacked Iran with cruise missiles from its ships in the Indian Ocean, but after the missile stocks of these ships were depleted, it turned to using its bombers in Britain.
