The government's information council, on Friday, August 2, issued a statement strongly criticizing the actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization for censoring part of Masoud Pezeshkian's speech on National Industry and Mining Day regarding the former leader's permission concerning negotiations.
The statement referenced similar past incidents, including the incomplete airing of an interview with the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the censorship of the Judiciary Chief's remarks, and the non-broadcasting of interviews with the Foreign Minister during the war, describing the behaviors of the broadcasting organization as "selective and based on the political preferences of a specific faction."
The government's information council emphasized that these divisive actions occurred immediately after the message from the leader of the Islamic Republic regarding the necessity of "unity of word," and not only call into question the organization's competence as a "national media," but also pose a threat to national security and social cohesion.

شورای اطلاعرسانی دولت روز جمعه دوم مرداد، با صدور بیانیهای از اقدام سازمان صداوسیما در سانسور بخشی از سخنرانی مسعود پزشکیان در روز ملی صنعت و معدن، درباره اجازه رهبر پیشین جمهوری اسلامی پیرامون مذاکرات، بهشدت انتقاد کرد.
در این بیانیه با اشاره به سوابق مشابه، از جمله پخش نیمهکاره مصاحبه رئیس مجلس شورای اسلامی، سانسور سخنان رئیس قوه قضائیه و پخش نشدن مصاحبههای وزیر امور خارجه در طول جنگ، رفتارهای صداوسیما «گزینشی و مبتنی بر سلایق سیاسی یک جریان خاص» توصیف شده است.
شورای اطلاعرسانی دولت تاکید کرد این اقدامات وحدتشکنانه دقیقا پس از پیام رهبر جمهوری اسلامی مبنی بر لزوم «وحدت کلمه» صورت گرفته و نه تنها شایستگی این سازمان را بهعنوان «رسانه ملی» زیر سوال میبرد، بلکه تهدیدی برای امنیت ملی و انسجام اجتماعی محسوب میشود.
