The French Embassy in Tehran strongly denied the claim made by the English-language newspaper "Tehran Times" regarding a secret meeting of European and Asian diplomats at the residence of the French ambassador, responding to it sarcastically.

Tehran Times had previously claimed that on July 20, a meeting was held with the presence of ambassadors from several European countries, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand at the residence of the French ambassador, where the topic of the departure of British diplomats and coordination for political pressure on Iran was discussed. However, the French Embassy completely rejected this claim, addressing the "reporters of Tehran Times" with the following:

"To the esteemed reporters of Tehran Times, next time, please verify your information with your friends in Iran's intelligence services, who have about ten cameras monitoring the French Embassy. Unfortunately, no event took place at our embassy on July 20!" FranceenIran

سفارت فرانسه در تهران با انتشار پیامی در حساب ایکس ادعای روزنامه انگلیسی‌زبان «تهران‌تایمز» مبنی بر برگزاری جلسه محرمانه دیپلمات‌های اروپایی و آسیایی در اقامتگاه سفیر فرانسه را به‌شدت تکذیب کرد و آن را کنایه‌آمیز پاسخ داد.

تهران‌تایمز پیش‌تر مدعی شده بود که در ۲۰ ژوئیه، نشستی با حضور سفرای چند کشور اروپایی، ژاپن، کره جنوبی و نیوزیلند در اقامتگاه سفیر فرانسه برگزار شده که در آن موضوع خروج دیپلمات‌های بریتانیایی و هماهنگی برای فشار سیاسی بر ایران مطرح شده است؛ اما سفارت فرانسه با رد کامل این ادعا خطاب به «خبرنگاران تهران‌تایمز» نوشت:

"به خبرنگاران محترم روزنامه تهران تایمز، دفعه بعد، لطفاً اطلاعات خود را با دوستان‌تان در سرویس‌های اطلاعاتی ایران که حدود ده دوربین برای نظارت بر سفارت فرانسه دارند، بررسی کنید. متاسفانه، هیچ مراسمی در سفارت ما در تاریخ ۲۰ جولای برگزار نشد !" FranceenIran
