The Yemeni "Houthi" forces, affiliated with the Islamic Republic, announced that they targeted several crude oil transfer centers in Saudi Arabia using drones, along the route for transporting oil from the east of the country to the port of Yanbu.

Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, claimed on Monday, July 27, 1405 (Iranian calendar), that these attacks were in response to what he called "the violation of Yemen's airspace by Saudi drones."

In response, the Saudi Ministry of Defense stated that the country's air defense intercepted and destroyed several attacking drones that, according to Riyadh, "were launched by armed groups supported by the Islamic Republic" and "had flown from Iraqi airspace."

According to this ministry, these drones intended to attack oil facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia and the city of Riyadh.

The Saudi Ministry of Defense emphasized that based on the "legitimate right to self-defense," it considers the response to these attacks a reserved right to be exercised at an appropriate time and place.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned this attack. The ministry urged the Iraqi government to take all necessary measures "to prevent the use of its territory as a launch pad for attacks against Saudi Arabia," a request that seems to indirectly reference the role of the Islamic Republic in the attacks on Saudi Arabia.

At the same time, news agencies close to the Revolutionary Guards, including Tasnim, claimed that the combined drone and missile attacks by the Houthis caused a fire at the Abqaiq oil facility, one of the most important oil processing centers in the world. Tasnim described this attack as "a devastating blow by Yemeni forces to the Saudi economy."

However, Saudi officials have not yet confirmed the occurrence of a successful attack on the Abqaiq facility or a fire at this center.

نیروهای «حوثی» یمن، وابسته به جمهوری اسلامی اعلام کردند با استفاده از پهپاد، تعدادی از مراکز انتقال نفت خام عربستان را در مسیر انتقال نفت از شرق این کشور به بندر ینبع هدف قرار داده‌اند.

«یحیی سریع»، سخنگوی نیروهای مسلح یمن، دوشنبه ۵مرداد۱۴۰۵ مدعی شد که این حملات در واکنش به آنچه «نقض حریم هوایی یمن توسط پهپادهای سعودی» خوانده، انجام شده است.
در مقابل، وزارت دفاع عربستان سعودی اعلام کرد پدافند هوایی این کشور تعدادی پهپاد مهاجم را که به گفته ریاض «از سوی گروه‌های مسلح مورد حمایت جمهوری اسلامی» و «از حریم هوایی عراق» به پرواز درآمده بودند، رهگیری و منهدم کرده است.

به گفته این وزارتخانه، این پهپادها قصد حمله به تاسیسات نفتی در منطقه شرقی عربستان و شهر ریاض را داشتند.

وزارت دفاع عربستان تاکید کرده که براساس «حق مشروع دفاع از خود»، پاسخ به این حملات را در زمان و مکان مناسب، حق محفوظ خود می‌داند.

وزارت امور خارجه عربستان نیز این حمله را محکوم کرد. این وزارتخانه از دولت عراق خواست تمامی اقدامات لازم را L«برای جلوگیری از استفاده از خاک این کشور به‌عنوان سکوی پرتاب حملات علیه عربستان سعودی» انجام دهد. درخواستی که به نظر می‌رسد اشاره‌ای غیرمستقیم به نقش جمهوری اسلامی در حملات به عربستان دارد.

همزمان، خبرگزاری‌های نزدیک به سپاه پاسداران، از جمله تسنیم، با انتشار تصاویری مدعی شدند حملات ترکیبی پهپادی و موشکی حوثی‌ها موجب آتش‌سوزی در تاسیسات نفتی بقیق، یکی از مهم‌ترین مراکز فرآوری نفت جهان، شده است. تسنیم این حمله را «ضربه مهلک نیروهای یمن به اقتصاد عربستان» توصیف کرد.
با این حال، مقام‌های عربستان تاکنون وقوع حمله موفق به تاسیسات بقیق یا آتش‌سوزی در این مرکز را تایید نکرده‌اند.
