🔴 The Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation has documented at least 886 executions in Iran since the beginning of 2026, with 56 of those occurring in July alone.

🔸 Ghezal Hesar Prison has one of the highest rates of execution in the country. A significant portion of the executions carried out in Iran is related to drug-related offenses; according to data collected by the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation, nearly 45% (2,946 cases) of all recorded executions in the 10-year period from 2016 to 2025 were related to drugs.

🔸 Since July 13, following the transfer of six death row inmates in drug-related cases to solitary confinement in Ghezal Hesar Prison, a group of prisoners in Unit 2 of this prison has gone on hunger strike, with some even sewing their lips shut.

🔸 More than two weeks into this strike, officials have not only failed to respond to the strikers' demands but have also taken actions such as transferring prisoners and imposing stricter restrictions to prevent messages and videos from being sent out of the prison, attempting to silence their voices.

🔴بنیاد عبدالرحمن برومند از ابتدای سال ۲۰۲۶ تاکنون، اعدام دست‌کم ۸۸۶ نفر در ایران را مستند کرده است که ۵۶ مورد آن تنها در ماه ژوئیه انجام شده است.

🔸زندان قزل‌حصار یکی از بالاترین آمار اجرای احکام اعدام را در سراسر کشور دارد. همچنین بخش قابل‌توجهی از اعدام‌های صورت‌گرفته در ایران مربوط به جرایم مرتبط با مواد مخدر است؛ به‌طوری که طبق داده‌های گردآوری‌شده توسط بنیاد عبدالرحمن برومند، نزدیک به ۴۵ درصد (۲,۹۴۶ مورد) از کل اعدام‌های ثبت‌شده در بازه ۱۰ ساله ۲۰۱۶ تا ۲۰۲۵، مرتبط با مواد مخدر بوده است.

🔸از ۲۲ تیرماه، در پی انتقال شش زندانی محکوم به اعدام در پرونده‌های مواد مخدر به سلول‌های انفرادی زندان قزل‌حصار، جمعی از زندانیان واحد دو این زندان دست به اعتصاب غذا زده و برخی نیز لب‌های خود را دوخته‌اند.

🔸با گذشت بیش از دو هفته از آغاز این اعتصاب، مسئولان نه تنها هیچ پاسخی به خواسته‌های اعتصابیون نداده‌اند، بلکه با اقداماتی همچون جابه‌جایی زندانیان و ایجاد محدودیت‌های شدیدتر برای جلوگیری از ارسال پیام و ویدیو از داخل زندان، در تلاش‌اند صدای آنان را خفه کنند.
