Some Iranian media and channels linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that four members of the IRGC were killed in attacks attributed to the United States and Saudi Arabia in Iraq. According to these reports, the individuals died in an attack in Karbala.

The reports identified the deceased as Ali Asghar Astaneh, Abolfazl Motaghi, Morteza Akbari, and Amir Abbas Darhamforush.

The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Wednesday morning, August 7, that the number of fatalities from the joint airstrikes by the U.S. and Saudi Arabia on the bases of these Iran-backed forces has reached 20.

In its statement, the PMF referred to this casualty figure as "preliminary" and stated that at least 32 others were injured in these attacks.

The joint U.S. and Saudi attacks targeted PMF positions in Baghdad, Wasit, Nineveh, Basra, Kirkuk, Karbala, and Diyala, causing material damage to the facilities and military equipment of the PMF. The U.S. Central Command stated in its announcement that these militias had carried out more than 24 drone attacks in recent days. According to CENTCOM, the aim of these attacks was to target "Iran-aligned terrorists" that the IRGC had directed to attack U.S. forces and Saudi energy infrastructure.

برخی رسانه‌های ایران و کانال‌های مرتبط با سپاه پاسداران گزارش دادند که چهار عضو سپاه پاسداران در حملات منتسب به آمریکا و عربستان سعودی به عراق کشته شدند.
به نوشته این رسانه‌ها، این افراد در حمله‌ای به کربلا جان باختند.

بر اساس این گزارش‌ها، علی اصغر آستانه، ابوالفضل متقی، مرتضی اکبری و امیرعباس درهم‌فروش از جمله کشته‌شدگان هستند.

شبه‌نظامیان حشد‌ الشعبی صبح چهارشنبه هفتم مرداد اعلام کردند شمار کشته‌های حملات هوایی مشترک آمریکا و عربستان سعودی به پایگاه‌های این نیروهای تحت حمایت ایران به ۲۰ نفر رسیده است.

حشد الشعبی در بیانیه‌اش این میزان تلفات را آمار «اولیه» خوانده و گفته است که دست کم ۳۲ نفر نیز در این حملات مجروح شده‌اند.

حملات مشترک آمریکا و عربستان علیه مواضع نیروهای حشد الشعبی در بغداد، واسط، نینوا، بصره، کرکوک، کربلا و دیاله انجام شد و خسارات مادی به تأسیسات و تجهیزات نظامی نیروهای حشد الشعبی وارد کرد.
فرماندهی مرکزی ارتش آمریکا در بیانیه‌اش گفته بود که این شبه‌نظامیان طی روزهای اخیر بیش از ۲۴ حمله پهپادی انجام داده‌اند.
به‌گفتهٔ سنتکام، هدف این حملات «تروریست‌های همسو با ایران» بوده است که سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی آن‌ها را برای حمله به نیروهای آمریکایی و زیرساخت‌های انرژی عربستان سعودی هدایت کرده بود.
