Donald Trump, the President of the United States, promised on Wednesday that he would target Iran severely after the U.S. military announced it had intercepted several ballistic missiles fired by Iran towards American forces in the Middle East.

Trump also commented on the U.S. and Saudi airstrikes against Iranian-backed militants in Iraq, stating that these attacks were coordinated with the Iraqi government.

The U.S. President described these militants as "a cancer for the world" and mentioned that he is considering issuing further warnings against the Iranian regime's proxy forces and their connections to the Iranian government.

Trump also stated that he now understands Benjamin Netanyahu's position regarding the Iranian regime.

In response to a question about the possibility of continuing negotiations with the Iranian regime, he said, "We will let them continue their discussions."
