The Jordanian army reported on Thursday morning, August 8, that it had intercepted Iranian missile attacks, stating that the country's air defense had intercepted "five ballistic missiles" fired at it.
On Wednesday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had also launched missiles towards Jordan despite a few days of halted U.S. attacks. U.S. military bases in Jordan have been primary targets of missile and drone attacks by the Revolutionary Guard since the beginning of the new round of retaliatory attacks between the U.S. and Iran.

ارتش اردن صبح پنجشنبه هشتم مرداد از مقابله با حملات موشکی ایران خبر داد و اعلام کرد پدافند هوایی این کشور «پنج موشک بالستیک» شلیکشده به این کشور را رهگیری کرده است.
سپاه پاسداران روز چهارشنبه نیز باوجود توقف چند روزه حملات آمریکا، به سمت اردن موشک شلیک کرده بود. پایگاههای ارتش آمریکا در اردن از ابتدای دور جدید حملات متقابل آمریکا و ایران از اهداف اصلی حملات موشکی و پهپادی سپاه پاسداران بودهاند.
