The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that it destroyed "three F-35 aircraft" in an attack on the Al Azraq base in Jordan.

In its statement, the IRGC claimed that on Thursday, August 8, it attacked the location and maintenance hangar of American F-35 fighter jets at Al Azraq Air Base with several ballistic missiles, completely destroying "three F-35 aircraft and causing heavy damage to three others."

The IRGC also claimed that "several officers and technical and maintenance personnel" were killed in this attack.

These claims come as the Jordanian army previously announced that it intercepted and destroyed five missiles fired by the Islamic Republic in its airspace.

سپاه پاسداران ادعا کرد که در حمله به پایگاه الازرق اردن «سه فروند هواپیمای اف۳۵» را از بین برده است.

سپاه پاسداران در بیانیه خود ادعا کرد که پنج‌شنبه هشتم مردادماه، با حمله به محل استقرار و سوله تعمیراتی جنگنده‌های اف۳۵ آمریکایی در پایگاه هوایی الازرق با چندین فروند موشک بالستیک، «سه فروند هواپیمای اف۳۵ را به کلی منهدم و به سه فروند دیگر خسارت سنگینی» وارد شد.

سپاه همچنین ادعا کرده که در این حمله «چند افسر و کادر فنی و تعمیراتی» کشته شدند.

این ادعاها در حالی است که پیشتر ارتش اردن اعلام کرد که پنج موشک شلیک شده از سوی جمهوری اسلامی را در آسمان این کشور رهگیری و منهدم کرده است.
