The release of a video showing the beating of several women in Iran during an Instagram live broadcast has sparked a wave of reactions on social media.

According to the Mizan news agency, affiliated with the Iranian judiciary, a case has been opened against this individual following the release of the Instagram live video by order of a judicial authority.

Saeed Rasti, the deputy head of the "Combatting Malice and Violent Crimes" section of the police, announced that this video has prompted widespread reactions from citizens, and the information sent by the public has played a role in identifying the suspect.

Mr. Rasti added that this individual was identified in a "operation" in central Tehran on Thursday morning, August 8, 1405, and "due to resistance against the officers," two bullets were fired into his legs and one bullet into his hand, leading to his arrest.

At the same time, videos of this individual after his arrest have been shared on social media, showing him in a medical facility. In one of these videos, he apologizes in the presence of the police to the women seen in the beating video, as well as to citizens and the police.

انتشار ویدیویی از ضرب‌وشتم چند زن در ایران در جریان یک پخش زنده اینستاگرامی، موجی از واکنش‌ها را در فضای مجازی به دنبال داشته است.

به‌ گزارش خبرگزاری میزان، وابسته به قوه قضائیه ایران، پس از انتشار ویدیوی این لایو اینستاگرامی با دستور مقام قضایی برای این فرد پرونده تشکیل شده است.

سعید راستی، معاون بخش «مبارزه با شرارت و جرایم خشن» پلیس اعلام کرد که این ویدیو باعث واکنش گسترده شهروندان شده و اطلاعات ارسالی مردم در شناسایی متهم نقش داشته است.

آقای راستی اضاف کرد که این فرد بامداد پنجشنبه، ۸ مرداد ۱۴۰۵، «در عملیاتی» در مرکز تهران شناسایی شد و «به دلیل مقاومت در برابر ماموران» دو گلوله به پاها و یک گلوله به دست او شلیک شده و در پی آن بازداشت شده است.

هم‌زمان، ویدیوهایی از این فرد پس از بازداشت در شبکه‌های اجتماعی منتشر شده است که او را در یک مرکز درمانی نشان می‌دهد. در یکی از این ویدیوها، او در حضور پلیس از زنانی که در ویدیوی ضرب و شتم دیده می‌شوند و همچنین از شهروندان و پلیس عذرخواهی می‌کند.
