Iraqchi: Negotiations between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz have reached the final stages

🔸Abbas Iraqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, announced on Sunday that negotiations with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz have reached the "final stages."

🔸According to the official news agency of the Iranian government, IRNA, Iraqchi provided a report on the status of these discussions during a cabinet meeting and stated that "the negotiations are on the path to finalization and are going through their final stages."

🔸Last week, the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that negotiations between Tehran and Muscat are still ongoing. This comes as Kazem Gharibabadi, Iraqchi's deputy, announced on Tuesday of the same week that the Islamic Republic had rejected Oman's proposal for equal division of transit routes between the two countries in the Strait of Hormuz.

🔸Previously, Reuters reported, citing an informed source, that Oman had proposed to Iran the establishment of a joint regional mechanism with voluntary fees or transit costs for managing the Strait of Hormuz.

🔸Simultaneously with Iraqchi's statements on Sunday, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry claimed in an interview with Iranian state television that the negotiations between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz "have nothing to do with the opening or closing of the Strait of Hormuz."

🔸Ismail Baqai also stated that the future management of the Strait of Hormuz is with Iran and will be conducted in consultation with Oman.

🔸These positions have been expressed while Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced early Sunday that he had halted a new plan to attack Iran at the request of the Islamic Republic and Middle Eastern countries, aimed at completing an agreement that would lead to the "immediate, complete, and unconditional" reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the "end of Iran's nuclear threat."

**عراقچی: مذاکرات ایران و عمان درباره تنگه هرمز به مراحل پایانی رسیده است

🔸عباس عراقچی، وزیر امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، روز یکشنبه خبر داد که مذاکرات با عمان درباره تنگه هرمز به «مراحل پایانی» رسیده است.

🔸به گزارش خبرگزاری رسمی دولت ایران، ایرنا، عراقچی در جلسه هیئت دولت از وضعیت این گفت‌وگوها گزارشی ارائه داد و اعلام کرد که «مذاکرات در مسیر نهایی شدن قرار دارد و مراحل پایانی خود را طی می‌کند».

🔸هفته گذشته وزارت خارجه ایران گفته بود که مذاکره میان تهران و مسقط همچنان ادامه دارد. این در حالی است که کاظم‌غریب‌آبادی، معاون عباس عراقچی، سه‌شنبه همان هفته اعلام کرد که جمهوری اسلامی پیشنهاد عمان مبنی بر تقسیم برابر مسیرهای عبور و مرور میان دو کشور در تنگه هرمز را رد کرده است.

🔸پیش از آن، خبرگزاری رویترز پیش‌تر به نقل از یک منبع آگاه گزارش داد که عمان پیشنهادی برای ایجاد یک سازوکار مشترک منطقه‌ای با پرداخت داوطلبانه عوارض یا هزینه‌ عبور و مرور برای مدیریت تنگه هرمز به ایران ارائه کرده است.

🔸همزمان با انتشار اظهارات روز یکشنبه عراقچی، سخنگوی وزارت خارجه در گفت‌‌وگو با تلویزیونی حکومتی ایران مدعی شد که مذاکره بین ایران و عمان دربارۀ تنگه هرمز «ربطی به باز یا بسته‌شدن تنگه هرمز ندارد».

🔸اسماعیل بقائی همچنین گفت که مدیریت آینده تنگه هرمز با ایران است و با مشورت عمان انجام می‌شود.

🔸این مواضع در حالی مطرح شده که دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، بامداد یکشنبه اعلام کرد طرح جدید برای حمله به ایران را با درخواست جمهوری اسلامی و کشورهای خاورمیانه و برای تکمیل توافقی که به بازگشایی «فوری، کامل و تمام‌عیار» تنگه هرمز و «پایان تهدید هسته‌ای ایران» منجر شود، متوقف کرده است.

🔸رسانه‌های ایران به نقل از منابع آگاه حکومتی درخواست از آمریکا برای توقف طرح حمله را رد کردند.
