On Monday, August 12, the President of the United States once again urged oil companies to lower gasoline prices for American consumers and criticized Mike Wirth, the CEO of Chevron, for not appreciating his administration's efforts to support the oil industry.
Donald Trump, in a television interview, blamed Wirth for not acknowledging his administration's role in assisting oil companies.
In a message on his social media platform, Truth Social, he wrote: "The only thing he conveniently omitted is that without the genius, foresight, strength, and stability of the Trump administration, the oil industry and even our country would have been destroyed!"
Trump added: "For example, they kicked Mike and Chevron out of Venezuela, but now they are back, bigger and stronger than ever, and expect to make a huge fortune!"
According to Trump, "This applies to other oil companies as well... and lower the price of oil for consumers right now!"

دونالد ترامپ در یک مصاحبه تلویزیونی، ویرث را سرزنش کرد که به نقش دولت او در کمک به شرکتهای نفتی اشاره نکرده است.
او در پیامی در شبکه اجتماعی خود، تروث سوشال، نوشت: «تنها چیزی که او بهراحتی از گفتنش صرفنظر کرد این است که بدون نبوغ، دوراندیشی، قدرت و ثبات دولت ترامپ، صنعت نفت و حتی خود کشور ما نابود میشد!»
ترامپ افزود: «برای مثال، آنها مایک و شورون را از ونزوئلا بیرون کردند، اما حالا بازگشتهاند، بزرگتر و قدرتمندتر از همیشه، و انتظار دارند ثروت هنگفتی به دست آورند!»
به گفته ترامپ، «این موضوع شامل سایر شرکتهای نفتی هم میشود... و همین حالا قیمت نفت برای مصرفکننده را پایین بیاورید!»
