Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Monday, August 3, during a meeting at the White House, that the negotiations currently taking place with the Islamic Republic of Iran are "the last chance" for Tehran to sign a "good deal."

Trump, who had previously canceled what he described as "the largest military attack since World War II" against Iran, again criticized Iranian officials who had denied negotiating with the United States, stating: "The Iranians called, and then I received calls from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and many other countries asking me to give them another chance. I don't want to say they 'begged,' but Iran really didn't want to be attacked."

Trump emphasized that these negotiations are taking place "at Iran's request" and with the support of regional and global countries, and that it is "the last chance" for the Islamic Republic to meet his expectations regarding its nuclear program.

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری ایالات متحده، روز دوشنبه ۱۲ مرداد در حاشیه نشستی در کاخ سفید، به خبرنگاران گفت مذاکراتی که در حال حاضر با جمهوری اسلامی ایران جریان دارد، «آخرین فرصت» تهران برای امضای یک «توافق خوب» است.

ترامپ که پیش‌تر حمله‌ای که به گفته او «بزرگ‌ترین حمله نظامی از زمان جنگ جهانی دوم تا کنون» بود علیه ایران را لغو کرده بود، با انتقاد دوباره از مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی که انجام مذاکره با ایالات متحده را تکذیب کرده بودند، گفت: «ایرانی‌ها تماس گرفتند، بعد از آن از عربستان سعودی، قطر، امارات و بسیاری کشورهای دیگر با من تماس گرفتند که یک فرصت دیگر بدهم. نمی‌خواهم بگویم «التماس» کردند ولی ایران واقعا نمی‌خواست مورد حمله قرار بگیرد.»

ترامپ تاکید کرد که این مذاکرات «با درخواست ایران» و حمایت کشورهای منطقه و جهان انجام می‌شود و «آخرین فرصت» برای جمهوری اسلامی است که انتظارات او درباره برنامه هسته‌ای را برآورده کنند.
