Masoud Pezeshkian, in a promotional teaser containing part of his remarks that will be broadcast in several episodes starting tonight local time on Iranian television, rejected reports about his resignation, stating: "I will not resign and I will stand firm. They want to create discord, where the leadership says one thing and they say another."

These remarks came a day after the release of a widely viewed clip featuring Mohammad Baqer Khazai, the Secretary-General of a group known as "Hezbollah Iran," who is the brother of Masoud's wife and the brother of Mojtaba Khamenei, the third leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In the clip, he spoke about "Pezeshkian's 28 resignations" and "Mojtaba Khamenei's threat to accept the next resignation."

These statements have sparked reactions from various figures, movements, and media outlets both supportive and critical of the government; among them is Hamid Rasai, who had asked Mr. Pezeshkian to resign to verify Khazai's statements.

Mojtaba Zarei, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Commission, responded to Mr. Rasai's jab by writing: "Out of 90 million Iranians, only one witness testified to Khazai's accusation against Imam Seyyed Mojtaba; the leader of the artery!"

Hamid Rasai emphasized half an hour ago, after the release of Pezeshkian's video, that it has not yet been denied:
"After Seyyed Mohammad Baqer Khazai made a claim about the leadership's response to Pezeshkian's resignation—which has not yet been denied—surrounding the President had varying and sometimes insulting reactions.
Imagine if he had made a claim contrary to what he quoted (for example, if the leadership had told Pezeshkian that he should continue firmly), what would have happened."

Then, just moments ago, this news was released:
The office of Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, issued a statement denying reports about a warning to Masoud Pezeshkian regarding his resignation. This statement was released a day after the video of Khazai's remarks, in which he claimed that Pezeshkian had resigned or threatened to resign 28 times and that Mojtaba Khamenei had stated that if this action were repeated, his resignation would be accepted.

Accordingly, we express some points regarding news and content related to the Supreme Leader.
🔹The official source for disseminating messages, news, and content related to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei is the website of the office of the Supreme Leader or the site for preserving and publishing the works of the Supreme Leader, and any content published outside this framework lacks authenticity and validity.

🔹The Supreme Leader has emphasized in his messages, including in his recent message, the importance of maintaining sacred unity and respecting the dedicated officials and servants of the Islamic system, especially the esteemed government. Content that contradicts the Supreme Leader's emphatic recommendations, causing division and polarization in society and laying the groundwork for incorrect accusations against respected officials, serves the goals of the enemies and sworn adversaries of the Iranian nation.

مسعود پزشکیان در تیزر تبلیغاتی حاوی بخشی از سخنانش که قرار است در چند قسمت و از امشب به وقت محلی از تلویزیون ایران پخش شود، ضمن رد گزارش‌ها درباره استعفایش گفت: «استعفا نخواهم داد و خواهم ایستاد. اینها می‌خواهند اختلاف درست کنند که رهبری یک چیزی می‌گوید و اینها یک چیزی می‌گویند.»

این سخنان یک روز پس از انتشار کلیپی پربازدید از سخنان محمدباقر خرازی، دبیرکل تشکلی موسوم به «حزب‌الله ایران» که برادر همسر مسعود، برادر مجتبی خامنه‌ای، رهبر سوم جمهوری اسلامی ایران منتشر می‌شود که او درباره «۲۸ بار استعفای پزشکیان» و «تهدید مجتبی خامنه‌ای به پذیرش استعفای بعدی» سخن گفته بود.

این سخنان واکنش‌های چهره‌ها، جریان‌ها و رسانه‌های حامی و منتقد دولت را برانگیخته است؛ از جمله حمید رسایی که از آقای پزشکیان خواسته بود برای راستی‌ازمایی سخنان محمدباقر خرازی استعفا کند.

مجتبی زارعی، نماینده عضو کمیسیون امنیت ملی مجلس ایران در واکنش به طعنه آقای رسایی نوشت: «از ۹۰ میلیون ایرانی فقط یک شاهد برای تهمت خرازی به امام سید مجتبی شهادت داد ؛ سرکرده شریان!»

حمید رسایی نیم‌ساعت پیش، یعنی پس از انتشار ویدیوی پزشکیان هم تاکید کرد که هنوز تکذیب نشده:
بعد از اینکه سیدمحمدباقر خرازی درباره نحوه برخورد رهبری با استعفای پزشکیان - که تاکنون تکذیب نشده - ادعایی کرد، اطرافیان رئیس جمهور برخوردهای متفاوتی و گاه توهین آمیزی داشتند.
تصور کنید اگر وی ادعایی برخلاف آنچه نقل کرده به زبان آورده بود (مثلا رهبری به پزشکیان گفته شما باید محکم ادامه بدی) چه اتفاقی می افتاد:

دفتر مجتبی خامنه‌ای، رهبر جمهوری اسلامی، با انتشار بیانیه‌ای، گزارش‌ها درباره هشدار به مسعود پزشکیان در خصوص استعفا را تکذیب کرد. این بیانیه یک روز پس از انتشار ویدیویی از سخنان خرازی منتشر شد که در آن مدعی شده بود پزشکیان تاکنون ۲۸ بار استعفا داده یا تهدید به کناره‌گیری کرده و مجتبی خامنه‌ای اعلام کرده در صورت تکرار این اقدام، استعفای او پذیرفته خواهد شد.
