Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, announced on Wednesday, August 14, through a video message that the country does not agree with the U.S. proposal for disarming Hamas and managing Gaza. Netanyahu stated in the message: "President Trump and his team think they can force Hamas to disarm and demilitarize Gaza. We are considering this matter. They sent us a draft, we did not agree; this draft is not ours; we sent our opinions."

Last week, Hamas announced that it would disarm on the condition that Israel withdraws from the Gaza Strip. Despite Trump's positive response, Israel remains opposed to this Hamas proposal, and several ministers from the coalition cabinet have already emphasized that the country's army will not withdraw from Gaza.

In his speech at the official funeral of Theodor Herzl's grandparents, the Prime Minister of Israel emphasized that the country is amid sensitive military and political events. Benjamin Netanyahu praised the U.S. President, saying: "I want to make this clear; President Trump is our greatest friend and the greatest friend we have ever had in the White House, and the United States is also our greatest ally."
However, the Israeli Prime Minister, stressing the preservation of Tel Aviv's fundamental interests, added: "But the existence of Israel — whether with an agreement or without an agreement — is non-negotiable. I am determined to do whatever is necessary to ensure our security and future."
Israel is currently in the midst of negotiations for two agreements: an agreement with Lebanon for the gradual withdrawal of its forces from the south of that country and a peace agreement for Gaza to transfer the management of these areas to a peace committee according to Trump's plan.

بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست وزیر اسرائیل روز چهارشنبه ۱۴ مردادماه با انتشار پیامی ویدیویی اعلام کرد این کشور با طرح پیشنهادی آمریکا برای خلع سلاح حماس و مدیریت غزه موافق نیست.
نتانیاهو در این پیام گفت: ««رئیس جمهوری ترامپ و تیمش فکر می‌کنند می‌توانند حماس را به خلع سلاح و غیرنظامی کردن غزه وادار کنند. ما در حال بررسی این موضوع هستیم. آنها پیش‌نویسی برای ما فرستادند، ما موافق نبودیم، این پیش‌نویس ما نیست؛ ما نظرات خود را ارسال کردیم.»

حماس هفته گذشته اعلام کرد به شرط خروج اسرائیل از نوار غزه، خود را خلع سلاح می‌کند. با وجود واکنش مثبت ترامپ، اسرائیل همچنان با این پیشنهاد حماس مخالف است و چند وزیر کابینه ائتلافی، پیشاپیش تاکید کرده‌اند که ارتش این کشور از غزه خارج نخواهد شد.

نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل در سخنرانی خود در خاکسپاری رسمی پدربزرگ و مادربزرگ تئودور هرتسل، با اشاره به تحولات جاری تاکید کرد که این کشور در میان رویدادهای حساس نظامی و سیاسی قرار دارد.
بنیامین نتانیاهو با تمجید از رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا گفت: «می‌خواهم این موضوع را روشن کنم؛ رئیس‌جمهوری ترامپ بزرگ‌ترین دوست ما و بزرگ‌ترین دوستی است که تا کنون در کاخ سفید داشته‌ایم و ایالات متحده نیز بزرگ‌ترین متحد ماست.»
با این حال، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل با تاکید بر حفظ منافع بنیادین تل‌آویو افزود: «اما موجودیت اسرائیل — چه با توافق و چه بدون توافق — قابل مذاکره نیست. من مصمم هستم که هر آنچه برای تضمین امنیت و آینده‌مان لازم است را انجام دهیم.»
اسرائیل در حال حاضر در میانه گفتگوها برای دو توافق قرار دارد: توافق با لبنان برای خروج تدریجی نیروهایش از جنوب این کشور و توافق صلح غزه برای واگذاری مدیریت این مناطق به هیات صلح مطابق طرح ترامپ.

بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل، روز چهارشنبه ۱۴ مرداد، در جریان بازدید از مرکز جذب سربازان جدید با تاکید بر اتحاد داخلی این کشور پس از حوادث هفتم اکتبر، تصریح کرد که تل‌آویو اجازه تشکیل کشور مستقل فلسطینی را نخواهد داد.
نتانیاهو با اشاره به این موضوع گفت: «ما در اینجا یک دولت تروریستی فلسطینی تاسیس نخواهیم کرد؛ دولتی که می‌دانیم قصد نابودی کشور-ملت یهود را دارد.»
نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل در ادامه افزود طرف مقابل در پی نابودی اسرائیل است، چرا که این کشور ترویج‌کننده ارزش‌های پیشرفت، دموکراسی و آزادی است؛ ارزش‌هایی که به گفته او، مورد نفرت «دشمنان بربر» قرار دارد.
