On Saturday, the newspaper Sazandegi reported, citing an informed source, that Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, has opposed the resignation of Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.

In recent days, some media outlets had reported on Zolqadr's resignation and the appointment of Mohsen Rezaei as the new Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.

This newspaper, which is the media organ of the Construction Party, stated in its report that the news of the Secretary's resignation is "not true," and Pezeshkian has told him to continue his work with "strength and power."

However, Sazandegi confirmed that Zolqadr had previously submitted his resignation "but this resignation faced opposition from Masoud Pezeshkian, and as a result, he remains in his position."

Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr was appointed as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council following the killing of Ali Larijani last Esfand during the attacks by the U.S. and Israel.

In addition to some media outlets, Mohammad Baqer Kharrazi, a hardline cleric close to Ali Khamenei's office, also announced last week in a speech the resignation of Zolqadr and the replacement by Mohsen Rezaei.

روزنامه سازندگی روز شنبه به نقل از یک منبع آگاه اعلام کرد که مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس‌جمهور ایران، با استعفای محمدباقر ذوالقدر، دبیر شورای عالی امنیت ملی، مخالفت کرده است.

در روزهای اخیر برخی رسانه‌ها از کناره‌گیری ذوالقدر و انتصاب محسن رضایی به عنوان دبیر جدید شورای عالی امنیت ملی خبر داده بودند.

این روزنامه که ارگان رسانه‌ای حزب کارگزارن سازندگی است، در گزارش خود به نقل از منبع آگاه نوشته خبر استعفای دبیر این شورا «صحت ندارد» و پزشکیان به او گفته است که با «قوت و قدرت» به کارش ادامه دهد.

با این حال سازندگی تأیید کرده که ذوالقدر پیش‌تر استعفای خود را ارائه کرده بود «اما این استعفا با مخالفت مسعود پزشکیان روبه‌رو شد و در نتیجه او همچنان در سمت خود باقی ماند».

محمدباقر ذوالقدر در پی کشته شدن علی لاریجانی در اسفند ماه گذشته در جریان حملات آمریکا و اسرائیل، به عنوان دبیر شورای عالی امنیت ملی منصوب شده بود.

علاوه بر برخی رسانه‌ها، محمدباقر خرازی، روحانی تندرو نزدیک به بیت علی خامنه‌ای، نیز هفته گذشته در یک سخنرانی خبر استعفای ذوالقدر و جایگزین شدن محسن رضایی را اعلام کرده بود.
