The death sentence of Rasoul Rezaei, a 28-year-old citizen from Fariman and one of the detainees from the protests in December 2024, has been confirmed by the Supreme Court. He had previously been sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad on charges of "moharebeh" (waging war against God).
The news agency Hrana reported on Sunday, August 8, 2026, that Rasoul Rezaei, who is currently imprisoned in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, is at risk of execution following the confirmation of his death sentence by the Supreme Court.

خبرگزاری هرانا، روز یکشنبه ۱۸مرداد ۱۴۰۵، گزارش داد، رسول رضایی که در حال حاضر در زندان وکیلآباد مشهد محبوس است، پس از تایید حکم اعدام در دیوان عالی کشور در معرض اجرای این حکم قرار دارد.
