On Tuesday, August 20, reporters from the Saudi Arabian television networks Al Arabiya and Al Hadath reported that following a ballistic missile strike by the Houthis on a commercial ship in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, three crew members of the ship were killed.
According to the report, the victims were two Pakistanis and one Indonesian national. Al Hadath reported that the missile was launched from the eastern part of Taiz province and targeted the commercial ship while it was passing through Bab al-Mandab.
This attack occurred amid ongoing threats to commercial ships and shipping routes in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait. Bab al-Mandab is one of the most important maritime passages in the world for trade and energy transfer between the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean.
At the same time, clashes have continued on several fronts in Yemen. According to reports from "Al Arabiya" and "Al Hadath," Yemeni government forces have targeted Houthi positions and equipment on multiple fronts.

خبرنگار شبکههای تلویزیونی العربیه و الحدث عربستان سعودی روز سهشنبه، ۲۰ مردادماه، گزارش داد که در پی اصابت یک موشک بالستیک حوثیها به یک کشتی تجاری در تنگه بابالمندب، سه نفر از اعضای خدمه این کشتی کشته شدند.
بر اساس این گزارش، قربانیان دو پاکستانی و یک تبعه اندونزی بودند. الحدث گزارش کرد این موشک از شرق استان تعز شلیک شده و کشتی تجاری را هنگام عبور از بابالمندب هدف قرار داده است.
این حمله در شرایطی رخ داده که تهدید علیه کشتیهای تجاری و مسیرهای کشتیرانی در دریای سرخ و تنگه بابالمندب همچنان ادامه دارد. بابالمندب یکی از مهمترین گذرگاههای دریایی جهان برای تجارت و انتقال انرژی میان دریای سرخ و اقیانوس هند است.
همزمان، درگیریها در چند جبهه یمن نیز ادامه داشته است. بر اساس گزارش «العربیه» و «الحدث»، نیروهای دولتی یمن مواضع و تجهیزات حوثیها را در چندین جبهه هدف قرار دادهاند.
