Just four days after a drone attack on the port of Jizan in Saudi Arabia, the news agency affiliated with the Houthi Shiite rebels of Yemen reported on Thursday another attack on the Aramco refinery located in this port.

While Saudi news sources have not yet reported on this, the Saba news agency of Yemen stated that the refinery was targeted "by two drones."

Earlier this week on Sunday, this refinery had caught fire following a drone attack by the Houthis.

Jizan is located on the Red Sea coast, near the border with Yemen, and is within the range of the Houthi Shiite rebels who are supported by the Islamic Republic.

Aramco halted operations at this facility on July 27 after the Houthi attack, which damaged the Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) complex and the refinery's storage section. At that time, the Houthis announced that they had targeted Aramco facilities in Jizan and Yanbu. The Jizan refinery has a processing capacity of 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produces refined products including gasoline and ultra-low sulfur diesel.

تنها چهار روز پس از یک حمله پهپادی به بندر جیزان در عربستان سعودی، خبرگزاری وابسته به حوثی‌های شیعه یمن روز پنج‌شنبه از حمله‌ای دیگر به پالایشگاه آرامکوی مستقر در این بندر خبر داد.

در حالی که هنوز منابع خبری سعودی در این باره اطلاع‌رسانی نکرده‌اند، خبرگزاری سبای یمن نوشته است که این پالایشگاه «با دو پهپاد» هدف گرفته شده است.

روز یک‌شنبه هفته جاری هم این پالایشگاه در پی حمله پهپادی حوثی‌ها دچار حریق شده بود.

جیزان در ساحل دریای سرخ و در نزدیکی مرز یمن و در تیررس حوثی‌های شیعه یمن قرار دارد که از حمایت جمهوری اسلامی برخوردارند.

آرامکو روز پنجم مرداد پس از حمله حوثی‌های یمن که به مجتمع سیکل ترکیبی یکپارچه گازسازی (IGCC) و بخش مخازن پالایشگاه آسیب رساند، فعالیت این تأسیسات را متوقف کرد.
حوثی‌ها در آن زمان اعلام کردند که تأسیسات آرامکو در جیزان و ینبُع را هدف قرار داده‌اند.
پالایشگاه جیزان ظرفیت فرآوری روزانه ۴۰۰ هزار بشکه نفت خام را دارد و فرآورده‌های پالایشی از جمله بنزین و گازوئیل با گوگرد بسیار پایین تولید می‌کند.
