Mohammad Baqerzadeh, the commander of the Committee for the Search of Missing Persons of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, announced in a letter that three pilots of the Islamic Republic's army, whose Sukhoi-24 fighter jets crashed during the attacks in March, have been captured alive by Qatari forces.

The Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, published this letter addressed to the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

According to this letter, Javad Salehi, Abdolmajid Dashtian, and Omran Behroshian have been in detention by Qatari forces for about six months. Baqerzadeh stated that the Qatari government has not allowed these three pilots to meet, interview, or contact their families and the officials following up on their cases.

Previously, officials of the Islamic Republic had stated that apart from Majid Kazemi, whose body was returned to Iran after the attack on Qatar, the status of the other three pilots involved in this operation is not precisely known, and the information available about their fate is incomplete.

محمد باقرزاده، فرمانده کمیته جست‌وجوی مفقودین ستاد کل نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی، در نامه‌ای اعلام کرد سه خلبان ارتش جمهوری اسلامی که جنگنده‌های سوخو-۲۴ آنها در جریان حملات اسفندماه سقوط کرده بود، زنده به اسارت نیروهای قطری درآمده‌اند.

خبرگزاری فارس، وابسته به سپاه پاسداران، این نامه را که خطاب به رییس کمیته بین‌المللی صلیب سرخ نوشته شده، منتشر کرده است.

بر اساس این نامه، جواد صالحی، عبدالمجید دشتیان و عمران به‌روشیان حدود شش ماه است در بازداشت نیروهای قطری به سر می‌برند. باقرزاده گفت دولت قطر تاکنون اجازه دیدار، مصاحبه یا تماس این سه خلبان با خانواده‌هایشان و مسئولان پیگیری‌کننده را نداده است.

پیش‌تر مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی گفته بودند به جز مجید کاظمی که پیکرش پس از حمله به قطر به ایران بازگردانده شد، وضعیت سه خلبان دیگر این عملیات به‌طور دقیق مشخص نیست و اطلاعات موجود درباره سرنوشت آنها ناقص است.
