The Mizan news agency, affiliated with the judiciary of the Islamic Republic, reported that the death sentence of Shahram Sadeghi, one of the protesters from the December uprising, was carried out in the early hours of Sunday, August 25.

According to this government media, the Revolutionary Court of Karaj had sentenced Sadeghi to death on charges of "operational actions in favor of Israel, the United States, and hostile groups."

The judiciary's news agency accused this political prisoner of deliberately running over several members of the special forces stationed at Golzar intersection in Karaj with a Pride car on the evening of January 18, 2025, during the "American-Zionist coup."

Mizan reported that seven special forces officers were injured in this incident.

Officials and media of the Islamic Republic have repeatedly labeled anti-government protests as "riots," "chaos," and "coup," attempting to discredit the voices of citizens' criticism and attributing them to foreign actors, including the U.S. and Israel.

Mizan further reported that after the "attack" on the special forces in Karaj, Sadeghi, with the "collaboration of rioters," set his car on fire and fled the scene. The report stated: "He had hidden in a drug rehabilitation camp under a false identity and, while not being an addict, was immediately identified and arrested."

The judiciary's news agency wrote that during interrogations, Sadeghi denied involvement in the incident, claiming that on the evening of January 18, he was heading home to Kordan in Savojbolagh from Islamshahr but had entered Karaj to eat, where his car was stolen.

According to Mizan, this political prisoner eventually accepted his charges after facing "documentary evidence and solid reasons" presented and "acknowledged" that he had driven the car towards the officers and then set it on fire.

The judiciary's news agency added that Sadeghi's death sentence was carried out in the early hours of August 25 after the appeal was reviewed and confirmed by the Supreme Court.

خبرگزاری میزان، وابسته به قوه قضاییه جمهوری اسلامی، گزارش داد حکم اعدام شهرام صادقی، از معترضان خیزش دی‌ماه، بامداد یک‌شنبه ۲۵ مرداد به اجرا درآمد.

به گزارش این رسانه حکومتی، دادگاه انقلاب کرج صادقی را به اتهام «اقدام عملیاتی به نفع اسرائیل، آمریکا و گروه‌های متخاصم» به اعدام محکوم کرده بود.

خبرگزاری قوه قضاییه این زندانی سیاسی را متهم کرد که شامگاه ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در جریان «کودتای آمریکایی-صهیونی»، با یک دستگاه خودروی پراید شماری از ماموران یگان ویژه استان البرز مستقر در چهارراه گلزار کرج را «عمدا» زیر گرفت.

به گزارش میزان، این زندانی سیاسی سرانجام پس از مواجهه با «مستندات و دلایل متقن ارائه‌شده»، اتهام خود را پذیرفت و «اذعان کرد» خودرو را به سوی ماموران رانده و سپس آن را آتش زده است.

خبرگزاری قوه قضاییه افزود حکم اعدام صادقی پس از رسیدگی به فرجام‌خواهی و تایید در دیوان عالی کشور بامداد ۲۵ مرداد اجرا شد.
