Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf described the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States as a "document of honor and victory in the field of diplomacy" and emphasized that the United States and Israel did not achieve any of their goals in the recent war, and that Tehran emerged victorious.

Speaking at a meeting on the occasion of Journalist Day [in the Islamic Republic calendar], Qalibaf stated: "I declare with all my heart that we have won this war." He added: "In an unjust war led by the United States and Israel, our nation stood and fought bravely with an open heart and without expecting anything in return."

Qalibaf's remarks come as he did not provide details about the objectives he believes Washington and Jerusalem failed to achieve.

محمد باقر قالیباف تفاهم‌نامه میان ایران و آمریکا را «سند افتخار و پیروزی در عرصه دیپلماسی» توصیف کرد و تاکید کرد که ایالات متحده و اسرائیل در جنگ اخیر «به هیچ یک از اهداف خود دست نیافته‌اند» و تهران پیروز شده است.

قالیباف که در جلسه‌ای به مناسبت روز خبرنگار [در تقویم جمهوری اسلامی] صحبت می‌کرد گفت: «با تمام وجود اعلام می‌کنم که ما در این جنگ پیروز شدیم.»
او افزود: «در جنگی ناعادلانه به رهبری ایالات متحده و اسرائیل، ملت ما با قلبی باز و بدون انتظار هیچ چیز در ازای آن، شجاعانه ایستاد و جنگید.»

اظهارات قالیباف در حالی مطرح می‌شود که او جزئیاتی در مورد اهدافی که معتقد است واشنگتن و اورشلیم در دستیابی به آنها شکست خورده‌اند، ارائه نکرد.
