An informed source told Iran International that Mohsen (Mehrdad) Takash, a 33-year-old citizen in Isfahan, has been sentenced to death twice on charges of moharebeh (waging war against God) in connection with the protests of last December.

Takash, a resident of Dizicheh in Isfahan, was arrested during the crackdown on protests in the last week of December. The informed source stated that he was severely tortured during his detention, resulting in a broken hand due to the torture.

According to this source, Takash was forced under pressure and torture to accept the accusations attributed to him by interrogators, and these coerced confessions became the basis for the case and the issuance of a verdict against him.

Takash's family was not accurately informed about his whereabouts and condition for about four months after his arrest. After four months of uncertainty, he contacted his family from Ward A of the Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.

The informed source told Iran International that apart from the confessions obtained under pressure and torture, there is no other document or evidence to substantiate the charges against him in the case.

Before his arrest, Mohsen Takash owned a motorcycle repair shop in Dizicheh and earned a living from this work.

یک منبع مطلع به ایران اینترنشنال گفت که محسن (مهرداد) تکش، شهروند ۳۳ ساله در اصفهان در رابطه با اعتراض‌های دی‌ماه سال گذشته با اتهام محاربه به دو بار اعدام محکوم شده است.

تکش، ساکن دیزیچه اصفهان، در جریان سرکوب اعتراض‌ها در هفته آخر دی‌ماه بازداشت شد.
منبع مطلع گفت که او در دوران بازداشت به‌شدت شکنجه شده و دستش بر اثر شکنجه شکسته است.

به گفته این منبع، تکش تحت فشار و شکنجه ناچار شده اتهاماتی را که بازجویان به او نسبت داده‌اند بپذیرد و همین اعترافات اجباری، مبنای تشکیل پرونده و صدور حکم علیه او قرار گرفته است.

خانواده تکش تا حدود چهار ماه پس از بازداشت، از محل نگهداری و وضعیت او اطلاع دقیقی نداشتند. او پس از چهار ماه بی‌خبری، از بند الف‌ط زندان دستگرد اصفهان با خانواده‌اش تماس گرفت.

منبع مطلع به ایران اینترنشنال گفت به‌جز اعترافاتی که تحت فشار و شکنجه از تکش گرفته شده، هیچ سند یا مدرک دیگری برای اثبات اتهامات مطرح‌شده علیه او در پرونده وجود ندارد.

محسن تکش پیش از بازداشت، در دیزیچه یک تعمیرگاه مکانیکی موتورسیکلت داشت و از این راه امرار معاش می‌کرد.
