Well, we have things we can sanction. We have very stringent sanctions, and we’ll see what happens.

Right now, the Strait is open. Many ships are passing through. They don’t report this, and it may slow down a bit at some point, but right now a lot of ships are passing through.

The maritime blockade has been very effective. Zero. I mean, really, as long as it has been in place — and it has been for a long time — except for one or two short pauses that we deliberately opened based on an agreement. But that agreement didn’t come to fruition. You know, the agreement didn’t pan out as they said it would; when they tell us one thing and do another.

But the blockade has been 100 percent successful. No ships have entered Iran, but ships are entering for other places. We’ll see. We’ll see what happens.

Either things will get very good and oil prices will plummet like a rock, or we’ll just continue doing exactly what we’re doing. You know, they were talking about $350 a barrel, and today it’s $84, $85, and we’re extracting a lot of oil.

But another thing that has happened is that people have found alternative options they never thought of: Texas, Alaska, Louisiana, and other places. Additionally, an unprecedented number of pipelines are under construction. So I think the Strait of Hormuz will no longer be as important as it used to be.

یا اوضاع بسیار خوب خواهد شد و قیمت نفت مثل سنگ سقوط خواهد کرد، یا دقیقاً همان کاری را که داریم می‌کنیم ادامه می‌دهیم. می‌دانید، از ۳۵۰ دلار برای هر بشکه حرف می‌زدند و امروز ۸۴، ۸۵ دلار است و ما داریم نفت زیادی استخراج می‌کنیم.

اما اتفاق دیگری که افتاده این است که مردم گزینه‌های جایگزین دیگری پیدا کرده‌اند که هرگز به آنها فکر نمی‌کردند: تگزاس، آلاسکا، لوئیزیانا و جاهای دیگر. علاوه بر این، تعداد بی‌سابقه‌ای خط لوله در حال ساخت است. بنابراین فکر می‌کنم تنگه هرمز دیگر به آن اندازه که در گذشته اهمیت داشت، مهم نخواهد بود.
