The Karun Human Rights Organization has reported an increase in the number of political and ideological prisoners in Shiban Prison in Ahvaz, stating that more than 600 individuals are being held in various sections of this prison. Many of these prisoners were detained during the wave of arrests following the 40-day war between Iran, the United States, and Israel.

A significant number of the newly detained individuals are young people, with most of them aged between 18 and 25, and they primarily come from Ahvaz, Fallahieh (Shadgan), Izeh, Behbahan, and Masjed Soleiman. In this prison, over 310 individuals are held in quarantine.

سازمان حقوق بشر کارون از افزایش شمار زندانیان سیاسی و عقیدتی در زندان شیبان اهواز خبر داده و گفته است بیش از ۶۰۰ نفر در بندهای مختلف این زندان نگهداری می‌شوند. بسیاری از این زندانیان، هستند که در موج بازداشت‌های پس از جنگ ۴۰ روزه ایران و آمریکا و اسرائیل بازداشت شده‌اند.

تعداد قابل‌توجهی از بازداشت‌شدگان جدید را جوانان تشکیل می‌دهند و سن بیشتر آنها بین ۱۸ تا ۲۵ سال است و اکثرا از اهالی اهواز، فلاحیه (شادگان)، ایذه، بهبهان و مسجدسلیمان هستند. در این زندان بیش از ۳۱۰ نفر در قرنطینه محبوس هستند.
