Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, stated that the Islamic Republic has been chanting "Death to America and Israel" for over 47 years and emphasized that these threats should not be dismissed as mere words or empty slogans.

In an interview with Israel's national network (Arutz Sheva) on Thursday, August 29, he said, "For 47 and a half years, they have been saying they will kill us, they will kill Israel." He added, "These are not just empty threats and saber-rattling in the air. These are people who really want to kill us."

The U.S. ambassador to Israel said Americans should take these threats seriously and pointed to the Islamic Republic's financial and military support for Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis as evidence of his claims.

Huckabee further stated that the Islamic Republic, in addition to spending resources on its own weapons, has also financed and equipped Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. He continued, "If there are terrorist activities happening in the world, you can usually trace it back to Tehran."

مایک هاکبی، سفیر آمریکا در اسرائیل، گفت جمهوری اسلامی بیش از ۴۷ سال است که شعار مرگ علیه آمریکا و اسرائیل سر می‌دهد و تاکید کرد که این تهدیدها را نباید صرفا حرف یا شعارهای توخالی تلقی کرد.

هاکبی روز پنجشنبه ۲۹ مردادماه در گفتگو با شبکه ملی اسرائیل (آروتز شیوا) گفت: «۴۷ سال و نیم است که می‌گویند ما را خواهند کشت، اسرائیل را خواهند کشت.» او افزود: «این‌ها صرفا تهدیدهای توخالی و شمشیر تکان دادن در هوا نیست. این‌ها کسانی هستند که واقعا می‌خواهند ما را بکشند.»

سفیر آمریکا در اسرائیل گفت آمریکایی‌ها باید این تهدیدها را جدی بگیرند و برای اثبات سخنانش به حمایت مالی و تسلیحاتی جمهوری اسلامی از حزب‌الله، حماس و حوثی‌ها اشاره کرد.

هاکبی افزود جمهوری اسلامی علاوه بر صرف منابع برای تسلیحات خود، حزب‌الله، حماس و حوثی‌ها را نیز تامین مالی و تجهیز کرده است. او در ادامه گفت: «اگر در جهان اقدامات تروریستی در جریان باشد، معمولا می‌توان رد آن را تا تهران دنبال کرد.»
