Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the government in Iran, says it is now time to end the war with the United States, as Tehran is in a position of "power" against Washington.

Mr. Pezeshkian stated, "It is better to end the war today, when we are in power and dignity, and the whole world acknowledges our victory and emphasizes that the U.S. has attacked our schools, hospitals, and infrastructure in violation of all regulations and is despised worldwide."

The head of the government in Iran also described the outcome of the negotiations between Iran and the U.S., which led to the signing of the Islamabad memorandum, as a "great achievement" that was "approved with unity and solidarity in the Supreme National Security Council, and all those in this council who had a hand in it defended it resolutely."

Mr. Pezeshkian further criticized those who "sit outside the arena" and "do not understand the conditions of the government, the conditions of the parliament, and the conditions of the commanders, yet speak and analyze recklessly, having faced no hardship themselves, and then complain about inflation."

Masoud Pezeshkian also emphasized that his statements do not mean surrendering to potential aggression: "We will not bow to bullying in any way, and there is no doubt about that. We will stand against them until our last breath and will respond decisively."

مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس دولت در ایران، می‌گوید اکنون زمان آن است که به جنگ با آمریکا پایان داده شود چرا که تهران در مقابل واشنگتن در موضع «قدرت» قرار دارد.

آقای پزشکیان گفت: «بهتر است امروز که در قدرت و عزت هستیم و تمام دنیا به پیروزی ما اذعان دارند و تأکید می‌کنند که آمریکا برخلاف تمام مقررات، به مدارس، بیمارستان‌ها و زیرساخت‌های ما حمله کرده و در دنیا منفور است، جنگ را پایان دهیم.»

رئیس دولت در ایران همچنین نتیجه مذاکرات ایران و آمریکا را که به امضای تفاهم‌نامه اسلام‌آباد منجر شد، «دستاوردی بزرگ» توصیف کرد که «با وحدت و همدلی در شورای عالی امنیت ملی به تصویب رسید و همه کسانی که در این شورا هستند و دستی در آتش داشتند، با قاطعیت از آن دفاع کردند.»

آقای پزشکیان در ادامه از کسانی انتقاد کرد که «خارج از گود نشسته‌اند» و «نمی‌دانند دولت در چه شرایطی است، مجلس در چه شرایطی است و فرماندهان در چه شرایطی هستند، بی‌محابا اظهارنظر و تحلیل می‌کنند، هیچ رنج و سختی هم به آنها نرسیده و بعد هم دم از گرانی می‌زنند.»

مسعود پزشکیان در عین حال تاکید کرد که اظهاراتش به معنای تسلیم شدن در برابر تعرض احتمالی نیست: «ما به هیچ عنوان در برابر قلدری سر خم نخواهیم کرد و هیچ تردیدی در آن وجود ندارد. تا آخرین نفس مقابل آنها خواهیم ایستاد و پاسخ کوبنده به آنها خواهیم داد.»
