Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf wrote on the social media platform "X," without naming a country: "We have received multiple messages from neighboring countries regarding the formation of new security arrangements and economic cooperation in the region."

He claimed that the United States, through "bullying" and ignoring the interests of its allies for the benefit of Israel, has jeopardized their security, adding that a "native and independent order" could bring real peace and security to the region. Iranian state media have interpreted these remarks as a reaction to the threats from Donald Trump's administration against countries that continue economic cooperation with Tehran.

Qalibaf's statements come at a time when the Islamic Republic's relations with some Arab Gulf countries have recently faced new tensions.

Ali Abdollahi, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, warned the countries along the southern shores of the Gulf on Wednesday about "any assistance or facilitation" for American forces.

Abdollahi stated that the Islamic Republic is monitoring the activities of American military aircraft, including refueling planes stationed at regional bases, and any assistance to the U.S. military will be considered participation in its military operations. He addressed the regional countries, saying: "Nothing is hidden from our view." The Arab countries in the region have previously rejected participation in U.S. attacks on Iran or allowing the use of their territory for such attacks.

At the same time, the United Arab Emirates has suspended all activities, trade exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran until further notice; a move that is particularly significant for the Islamic Republic, given the UAE's role as one of Iran's most important trading partners.

This decision was announced after Emirati officials stated that they had identified two ballistic missiles launched from Iran. According to Abu Dhabi, one of the missiles fell outside the territorial waters of the UAE, while the other fell into the sea within this area. Tehran has denied these accusations.

Qalibaf's claim regarding the request from neighboring countries for new security arrangements comes while he has not disclosed the names of these countries, the content of the alleged messages, or the details of Tehran's proposed plan for a "native and independent order."

او مدعی شد آمریکا با «قلدری» و نادیده گرفتن منافع متحدان خود به سود اسرائیل، امنیت آنها را به خطر انداخته است و افزود یک «نظم بومی و مستقل» می‌تواند صلح و امنیت واقعی را برای منطقه به همراه بیاورد. رسانه‌های حکومتی ایران این اظهارات را واکنشی به تهدیدهای دولت دونالد ترامپ علیه کشورهایی دانسته‌اند که به همکاری اقتصادی با تهران ادامه می‌دهند.

اظهارات قالیباف در شرایطی مطرح می‌شود که روابط جمهوری اسلامی با برخی کشورهای عربی خلیج فارس در روزهای اخیر با تنش‌های تازه‌ای روبه‌رو شده است.

علی عبداللهی، رییس ستاد کل نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی، روز چهارشنبه به کشورهای حاشیه جنوبی خلیج فارس درباره «هرگونه کمک یا تسهیل» برای نیروهای آمریکایی هشدار داده بود.

عبداللهی گفت جمهوری اسلامی فعالیت هواپیماهای نظامی آمریکا، از جمله هواپیماهای سوخت‌رسان مستقر در پایگاه‌های منطقه را زیر نظر دارد و هرگونه کمک به ارتش آمریکا را به منزله مشارکت در عملیات نظامی این کشور تلقی خواهد کرد. او خطاب به کشورهای منطقه گفت: «هیچ‌چیز از دید ما پنهان نیست.» کشورهای عربی منطقه پیش‌تر مشارکت در حملات آمریکا به ایران یا اجازه استفاده از خاک خود برای این حملات را رد کرده‌اند.

همزمان، امارات متحده عربی تمام فعالیت‌ها و مبادلات تجاری و تراکنش‌های مالی خود با ایران را تا اطلاع ثانوی متوقف کرده است؛ اقدامی که برای جمهوری اسلامی، با توجه به نقش امارات به‌عنوان یکی از مهم‌ترین شرکای تجاری ایران، اهمیت ویژه‌ای دارد.

این تصمیم پس از آن اعلام شد که مقام‌های اماراتی گفتند دو موشک بالستیک شلیک‌شده از ایران را شناسایی کرده‌اند. بر اساس اعلام ابوظبی، یکی از موشک‌ها خارج از آب‌های سرزمینی امارات و دیگری در داخل این محدوده به دریا سقوط کرده است. تهران این اتهام را رد کرده است.

ادعای قالیباف درباره درخواست کشورهای همسایه برای ایجاد ترتیبات امنیتی تازه در حالی مطرح شده که او نام این کشورها، محتوای پیام‌های ادعایی یا جزییات طرح مورد نظر تهران برای «نظم بومی و مستقل» را اعلام نکرده است.
