The judiciary of the Islamic Republic has announced the execution of "Majid Adineh," another detainee from the protests in December 2024 in Karaj.

According to a report by Tasnim citing the judiciary, this sentence was carried out on Sunday morning, September 1, 2025.

Majid Adineh was arrested on January 9, 2024, in the Mohammadshahr area of Karaj. Judicial authorities have claimed that at the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a handgun, three magazines, 30 bullets, two electric shockers, two tear gas canisters, a rechargeable electric saw, and a bottle of gasoline.

The judiciary has referred to the December protests as a "coup" according to the official narrative of the Islamic Republic and has accused Adineh of collaborating with the U.S., Israel, and what it calls "hostile groups."

The Revolutionary Court of Karaj sentenced him to death and confiscation of property on charges of "waging war through intentional arson" based on a law known as "increased penalties for espionage and collaboration with the Zionist regime and hostile countries."

No information has been released regarding Adineh's access to a chosen lawyer, the judicial process, the timing of the court proceedings, or how his statements were obtained.

The execution of Majid Adineh is part of the ongoing implementation of death sentences against detainees from the December protests. More than 30 countries issued a joint statement on August 12, 2025, condemning the continued issuance and execution of death sentences for Iranian protesters as a tool to "silence dissenting voices."

Amnesty International has also reported that the Islamic Republic executed at least 2,159 people in 2025.

قوه قضائیه جمهوری اسلامی از اجرای حکم اعدام «مجید آدینه»، یکی دیگر از بازداشت‌شدگان اعتراضات دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ در کرج، خبر داده است.

براساس گزارش تسنیم به نقل از قوه قضاییه، این حکم صبح یکشنبه اول شهریور ۱۴۰۵ اجرا شد.

مجید آدینه روز ۱۹ دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ در محدوده محمدشهر کرج بازداشت شده بود.
مقام‌های قضایی مدعی شده‌اند که هنگام بازداشت او یک قبضه کلت کمری، سه خشاب، ۳۰ فشنگ، دو شوکر برقی، دو افشانه گاز اشک‌آور، یک اره برقی شارژی و یک بطری بنزین همراه داشته.

قوه قضائیه اعتراضات دی‌ماه را مطابق روایت رسمی جمهوری اسلامی «کودتا» خوانده و آدینه را به همکاری با آمریکا، اسرائیل و آنچه «گروه‌های متخاصم» نامیده، متهم کرده است.

دادگاه انقلاب کرج او را با اتهام «محاربه از طریق تحریق عمدی» و براساس قانون موسوم به «تشدید مجازات جاسوسی و همکاری با رژیم صهیونیستی و کشورهای متخاصم» به اعدام و مصادره اموال محکوم کرده بود.

اطلاعاتی درباره دسترسی آدینه به وکیل انتخابی، روند دادرسی، زمان برگزاری دادگاه و نحوه اخذ اظهارات او منتشر نشده است.

اعدام مجید آدینه در ادامه اجرای احکام اعدام علیه بازداشت‌شدگان اعتراضات دی‌ماه انجام شده است. بیش از ۳۰ کشور روز ۲۱ مرداد ۱۴۰۵ با انتشار بیانیه‌ای مشترک، ادامه صدور و اجرای احکام اعدام برای معترضان ایرانی را ابزاری برای «ساکت‌کردن صدای مخالفان» خواندند و محکوم کردند.

عفو بین‌الملل نیز گزارش داده است که جمهوری اسلامی در سال ۲۰۲۵ دست‌کم دو هزار و ۱۵۹ نفر را اعدام کرده است.
