On Monday, September 2, the price of oil fell by more than two percent ahead of the announcement of the details of a new U.S. plan to increase economic pressure on Iran.
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, described this plan as the "most crushing" financial operation against the Islamic Republic and has urged Washington's allies as well as China to join it.
Scott P. Amey, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, is set to provide more details about this plan in a press conference on Monday.
In Monday's trading, both Brent and U.S. crude oil prices fell by 2.3 percent, with Brent oil reaching around $92 per barrel.

قیمت نفت روز دوشنبه دوم شهریور، در آستانه اعلام جزئیات طرح تازه آمریکا برای افزایش فشار اقتصادی بر ایران، بیش از دو درصد کاهش یافت.
دونالد ترامپ، رئیسجمهور آمریکا، این طرح را «کوبندهترین» عملیات مالی علیه جمهوری اسلامی توصیف کرده و از متحدان واشینگتن و همچنین چین خواسته است به آن بپیوندند.
اسکات بسنت، وزیر خزانهداری آمریکا، قرار است روز دوشنبه در یک نشست خبری جزئیات بیشتری از این طرح ارائه کند.
در معاملات روز دوشنبه، بهای نفت برنت و نفت خام آمریکا هر دو ۲٫۳ درصد کاهش یافت و قیمت نفت برنت به حدود ۹۲ دلار در هر بشکه رسید.
