The first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Isfahan has sentenced 10 defendants in the case known as "Isfahan Martyrs' Square" to death. Six other defendants in this case have received heavy prison sentences.

The 10 defendants who received death sentences are "Taraneh Rahimi," "Navid Elyasi," "Abdolfazl Dadgostar," "Mehdi Mansouri," "Ahmadreza Saidi," "Mehrdad Boueri," "Mohammad Mehdi Asadi," "Armin Gholami," "Parsa Jafari," and "Mehdi Jafari," known as "Mehdi Khosravi."
In another part of the ruling, "Romina Rahimi" and "Milad Boueri" have each been sentenced to 25 years in prison, and "Hamed Mehralian" has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. "Setayesh Saeedi," "Sajjad Abadi," and "Ali Boueri" have each been sentenced to five years in prison.

The court has also sentenced all 16 defendants to five years for the charge of "conspiracy and collusion," five years for "incitement," and one year for "propaganda against the regime."

The "Isfahan Martyrs' Square" case was formed in connection with the protests of December 2024. The defendants in this case were detained in their homes from February 3 to March 14 of the same year. Some of them are employees of shoe and clothing stores in the vicinity of Shohada Street or relatives of the owners of these stores.

Most of the defendants in this case are under 23 years old. Taraneh and Romina Rahimi, twin sisters, were 19 years old at the time of their arrest.

The hearings for the charges against these individuals began on July 13, 2026, in the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Isfahan. Their charges have been stated as "moharebeh" (waging war against God), "aiding in moharebeh," "destruction of public property equivalent to moharebeh," "conspiracy and collusion," and "propaganda against the regime."

This case was formed after the killing of "Abbas Kamrani," a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and a homeless citizen during the protests on January 7. However, in the indictment issued against the defendants, the charge of murder has not been raised.

Informed sources had previously stated that no evidence proving the defendants' involvement in the deaths of these two individuals was presented in court sessions, and the confessions obtained during interrogation were the basis for the charges.

Some defendants have stated in court that their confessions were obtained through beatings, the use of a taser, and threats of sexual assault. "Ahmadreza Saidi" also stated in the presence of judges that he was tortured during interrogation.

According to published information, one of the women defendants in this case has also reported sexual assault during her detention and has filed a complaint. However, the court issued its ruling without addressing this complaint.

The defendants' lawyers have also been deprived of full access to the case file. Reports indicate that the court did not allow each defendant to have the legally required number of defense attorneys.

"Mohammadreza Tavakoli" and "Morteza Barati," the judges in this case, have previously issued death sentences in political and security cases in Isfahan. Tavakoli has been a judge in the "Ali Khani" and "Tomaaj Salehi" cases, and Barati had issued death sentences for three protesters in the "Isfahan House" case.

شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب اصفهان ۱۰ نفر از متهمان پرونده موسوم به «میدان شهدای اصفهان» را به اعدام محکوم کرده است. شش متهم دیگر این پرونده نیز احکام سنگین زندان گرفته‌اند.

«ترانه رحیمی»، «نوید الیاسی»، «ابوالفضل دادگستر»، «مهدی منصوری»، «احمدرضا سعیدی»، «مهرداد بو‌ئری»، «محمد مهدی اسدی»، «آرمین غلامی»، «پارسا جعفری» و «مهدی جعفری»، معروف به «مهدی خسروی»، ۱۰ متهمی هستند که حکم اعدام گرفته‌اند.
در بخش دیگری از حکم، «رومینا رحیمی» و «میلاد بو‌ئری» هرکدام به ۲۵ سال حبس و «حامد مهرعلیان» به ۱۵ سال زندان محکوم شده‌اند. «ستایش ساعدی»، «سجاد عابدی» و «علی بوئری» نیز هرکدام به پنج سال حبس محکوم شده‌اند.

دادگاه همچنین هر ۱۶ متهم را بابت اتهام «اجتماع و تبانی» به پنج سال، «تحریک» به پنج سال و «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» به یک سال حبس محکوم کرده است.

پرونده «میدان شهدای اصفهان» در ارتباط با اعتراضات دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ تشکیل شده است.
متهمان این پرونده از ۱۴ بهمن تا ۲۴ اسفند همان سال در خانه‌هایشان بازداشت شدند. شماری از آن‌ها کارکنان فروشگاه‌های کفش و پوشاک در محدوده خیابان شهدا یا از بستگان صاحبان این فروشگاه‌ها هستند.

بیشتر متهمان این پرونده کمتر از ۲۳ سال دارند. ترانه و رومینا رحیمی، خواهران دوقلو، هنگام بازداشت ۱۹ ساله بودند.

جلسات رسیدگی به اتهام‌های این افراد از ۲۲ تیر ۱۴۰۵ در شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب اصفهان آغاز شد. اتهام‌های آن‌ها «محاربه»، «معاونت در محاربه»، «تخریب اموال عمومی در حکم محاربه»، «اجتماع و تبانی» و «تبلیغ علیه نظام» اعلام شده بود.

این پرونده پس از کشته‌شدن «عباس کامرانی»، عضو سپاه پاسداران، و یک شهروند بی‌خانمان در اعتراضات ۱۸ دی تشکیل شد. بااین‌حال، در کیفرخواست صادر شده علیه متهمان، اتهام قتل مطرح نشده است.

منابع مطلع پیش‌تر گفته بودند در جلسات دادگاه مدرکی که نقش متهمان در کشته‌شدن این دو نفر را اثبات کند، ارائه نشده‌ و اعترافات گرفته‌شده در دوران بازجویی، مبنای طرح اتهام‌ها قرار گرفته است.

شماری از متهمان در دادگاه گفته‌اند اعترافات آن‌ها با ضرب‌وشتم، استفاده از شوکر و تهدید به تعرض جنسی گرفته شده است. «احمدرضا سعیدی» نیز در حضور قضات اعلام کرده بود که در دوران بازجویی شکنجه شده است.

براساس اطلاعات منتشرشده، یکی از زنان متهم این پرونده نیز از تعرض در زمان بازداشت خبر داده و شکایتی ثبت کرده است. بااین‌حال، دادگاه بدون رسیدگی به این شکایت، حکم او را صادر کرده است.

وکلای متهمان نیز از دسترسی کامل به پرونده محروم بوده‌اند. گزارش‌ها حاکی است دادگاه اجازه نداده است هر متهم از شمار قانونی وکلای مدافع برخوردار باشد.

«محمدرضا توکلی» و «مرتضی براتی»، قضات این پرونده، پیش‌تر نیز در پرونده‌های سیاسی و امنیتی اصفهان حکم اعدام صادر کرده‌اند. توکلی از قضات پرونده‌های «میدان علیخانی» و «توماج صالحی» بوده و براتی نیز در پرونده «خانه اصفهان» برای سه معترض حکم اعدام صادر کرده بود.
