Simultaneously with the report from Fars News Agency stating that the U.S. drone attacks on Lark Island were conducted "from Jordan with the support of this country's bases," the public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced early Tuesday in a statement: "In response to the attack on Lark Island, the Aerospace Force targeted the technical, repair, and fighter jet deployment infrastructures at the King Hussein and Al-Azraq air bases in Jordan with ballistic missile strikes in a combined missile-drone operation." The statement continued: "Military actions will not weaken control over the Strait of Hormuz, and any firing will be met with reciprocal responses."

Fox News reported, citing an American source, that following the U.S. attacks on missile launchers in Lark Island, the IRGC targeted American positions in Jordan with missile strikes.
According to this informed source, no significant damage has been reported so far, and the defense systems have managed to intercept and destroy almost all the fired missiles before they hit their targets.
Previously, the IRGC announced in a statement that it had targeted the two air bases "King Hussein" and "Al-Azraq" in Jordan.

همزمان با گزارش خبرگزاری فارس، مبنی بر اینکه حملات پهپادی آمریکا به جزیره لارک از «مبدا اردن و با پشتیبانی پایگاه‌های این کشور» انجام شده بود، روابط عمومی سپاه پاسداران بامداد دوشنبه با انتشار بیانیه‌ای اعلام کرد: «نیروی هوافضا در پاسخ به حمله به جزیره لارک، در یک عملیات ترکیبی موشکی-پهپادی، زیرساخت‌های فنی، تعمیراتی و محل استقرار جنگنده‌ها در دو پایگاه هوایی ملک حسین و الازرق در اردن را با شلیک موشک‌های بالستیک هدف قرار داد.» در ادامه این بیانیه آمده است: «اقدامات نظامی، تضعیف‌کننده کنترل بر تنگه هرمز نخواهد بود و هرگونه شلیک با پاسخ‌های متقابل جواب داده خواهد شد.»

شبکه فاکس‌نیوز به نقل از یک منبع آمریکایی گزارش داد در پی حملات نیروهای ایالات متحده به پرتابگرهای موشکی در جزیره لارک، سپاه پاسداران مواضع نیروهای آمریکایی در اردن را هدف حملات موشکی قرار داد.
به گفته این منبع مطلع، تاکنون هیچ‌گونه خسارت قابل‌توجهی گزارش نشده و سامانه‌های پدافندی موفق شده‌اند تقریبا تمام موشک‌های شلیک‌شده را پیش از اصابت به اهداف رهگیری و منهدم کنند.
پیش از این سپاه با انتشار بیانیه‌ای از هدف قرار دادن دو پایگاه هوایی «ملک حسین» و «الازرق» در اردن خبر داد.
