On Monday, Peyman Darafshan, the lawyer, announced that the death sentence of his client, Ali-Asghar Payghambari, one of the protesters from December 2024, has been confirmed by the Supreme Court.
Darafshan told the Emtedaad news site: "The death sentence for Ali-Asghar Payghambari was previously issued by the Tehran Revolutionary Court based on the law for the enhancement of penalties for espionage and collaboration with the Zionist regime."
This comes while, according to this lawyer, "there has been no organizational or any other kind of connection in any way between the client and any of the opposing groups," and Payghambari was only present at the protests.

پیام درفشان، وکیل، روز دوشنبه خبر داد که حکم اعدام موکل او، علیاصغر پیغمبری، از معترضان دیماه ۱۴۰۴، در دیوان عالی کشور تأیید شده است.
درفشان به سایت خبری امتداد گفت: «حکم اعدام علیاصغر پیغمبری پیشتر از سوی دادگاه انقلاب تهران و با استناد به قانون تشدید مجازات جاسوسی و همکاری با رژیم صهیونیستی صادر شده بود.»
این در حالی است که به گفته این وکیل دعاوی «هیچگونه ارتباط سازمانی یا ارتباط دیگری، به هیچ نحو، میان موکل و هیچیک از گروههای متخاصم وجود نداشته» و پیغمبری تنها در اعتراضات حضور داشته است.
