The human rights organization "Karun" reported on Monday, September 9, 1405, that "the protesting youth and families, representing the neighboring residents of this company, have stated their demands, announcing that the Dabil Khazaei sugarcane company operates on an area of about 12,000 hectares, a significant portion of which belongs to the region and its local people. Despite the presence of local youth with various educational backgrounds and specialties, the company's management has prioritized hiring non-local workers, leaving the local youth deprived of initial employment opportunities."

روز دوشنبه ۹ شهریور ۱۴۰۵، شماری از شهروندان جویای کار در شهرستان گچساران در اعتراض به روند استخدام نیرو در پالایشگاه لیشتر تجمع کردند.
در ویدیوی منتشرشده از این تجمع، تیراندازی نیروهای انتظامی برای متفرق‌کردن معترضان دیده می‌شود. برخی گزارش‌ها نیز از زخمی‌شدن یک نفر در جریان این تیراندازی حکایت دارد.
این تجمع در اعتراض به نحوه جذب و استخدام نیرو در پالایشگاه لیشتر برگزار شده است؛ پالایشگاهی که به‌تازگی افتتاح شده است.

نیروهای امنیتی و پلیس، جوانان عرب معترض به بیکاری در مقابل شرکت نیشکر «دعبل خزاعی» در اهواز را با ضرب‌وشتم و تیراندازی متفرق کرده‌اند.
در این ویدیو، مردی که در حال فیلم‌برداری است می‌گوید: «این جوانان همه گرسنه هستند، هیچ‌کس ما را استخدام نمی‌کند. هیچ‌کس برای ما ارزش نمی‌گذارد. هر کدام از آن‌ها با اسلحه کلاشینکوف به‌دنبال جوانان افتادند. ما کار می‌خواهیم. جوانان گرسنه هستند. ما هیچ آهی در بساط نداریم. ما کار می‌خواهیم.»
سازمان حقوق‌بشر «کارون» روز دوشنبه نهم‌شهریور۱۴۰۵ در گزارشی نوشته است که «جوانان و خانواده‌های معترض که به نمایندگی از ساکنان همجوار این شرکت دست به تجمع زده بودند، با طرح مطالبات خود اعلام کرده‌اند که شرکت نیشکر دعبل خزاعی در زمینی به مساحت حدود ۱۲ هزار هکتار فعالیت می‌کند که بخش قابل‌توجهی از این اراضی متعلق به منطقه و مردم بومی آن است. با این وجود و علی‌رغم حضور جوانان بومی دارای مدارک تحصیلی و تخصص‌های مختلف، مدیریت شرکت اولویت را به جذب نیروهای غیربومی داده و باعث شده تا جوانان منطقه همچنان از فرصت‌های اولیه اشتغال محروم بمانند.»
