JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States, announced on Monday in a conversation with reporters that Donald Trump, by posting a message on the social media platform Truth Social about turning Kharg Island, Iran's energy hub, into "a pile of ashes," was sending a message to Iran.

In response to a question about Trump's post, he said: "The President likes to sometimes change his approach on social media. He would be the first to say that he doesn't issue announcements about military actions on social media, but I think he is sending a message to the Iranians."

Before the start of the war between the U.S. and Israel with Iran last March, Kharg was the loading and export point for about 90% of Iran's oil shipments, and an attack on this island could severely disrupt Iran's energy trade and put significant pressure on the country's economy.

جی‌دی ونس، معاون رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، روز دوشنبه در گفت‌وگو با خبرنگاران اعلام کرد دونالد ترامپ با انتشار پستی در شبکه اجتماعی تروث سوشال درباره تبدیل شدن جزیره خارگ، قطب انرژی ایران، به «تلی از خاکستر»، در حال ارسال پیامی به ایران بوده است.

او در پاسخ به پرسشی درباره این پست ترامپ گفت: «رئیس‌جمهوری دوست دارد گاهی در شبکه‌های اجتماعی کمی شیوه کارش را تغییر دهد. خودش اولین کسی خواهد بود که می‌گوید درباره اقدامات نظامی در شبکه‌های اجتماعی اعلامیه صادر نمی‌کند، اما فکر می‌کنم او در حال ارسال پیامی به ایرانی‌هاست.»

پیش از آغاز جنگ آمریکا و اسرائیل با ایران در اسفند سال گذشته، خارگ محل بارگیری و صادرات حدود ۹۰ درصد از محموله‌های نفت ایران بود و حمله به این جزیره می‌توانست تجارت انرژی ایران را به‌شدت مختل و فشار سنگینی بر اقتصاد این کشور وارد کند.
