Manouchehr Bakhtiari, the father of Pouya Bakhtiari, one of the victims of the November 2019 protests, has been sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court in Bandar Abbas.

According to the issued verdict, he has been sentenced to one year in prison for the charge of "propaganda against the Islamic Republic through media alignment with adversaries," four years for "inciting people to war and slaughter against each other with the intent to disrupt national security," and five years for "sending videos to foreign virtual networks against national security."

منوچهر بختیاری، پدر پویا بختیاری از جان‌باختگان اعتراضات آبان ۱۳۹۸، از سوی شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب بندرعباس در مجموع به ۱۰ سال حبس تعزیری دیگر محکوم شده است.

براساس حکم صادرشده، او با اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام جمهوری اسلامی از طریق هم‌سویی رسانه‌ای با معاندان» به یک سال حبس، با اتهام «تحریک مردم به جنگ و کشتار با یکدیگر به قصد برهم‌زدن امنیت کشور» به چهار سال حبس و با اتهام «ارسال فیلم به شبکه‌های مجازی بیگانه برخلاف امنیت ملی» به پنج سال زندان محکوم شده است.
