Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced on Tuesday, September 10, during a meeting with Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, that if the United States returns to the Islamabad agreement, Tehran is also ready to comply with its provisions.

Pezeshkian described Iran's presence in organizations such as Shanghai and BRICS as an effort to counteract U.S. "unilateralism" during this meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. He emphasized the mutual understanding between Iran and Russia regarding the necessity of multilateralism in global politics and economics, expressing hope that this process would proceed successfully.

Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the Islamic Republic government, stated in his meeting with Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia: "We thank Russia for its position on the war and sanctions. We can resist U.S. unilateralism. The U.S. has no right to impose sanctions and violate international laws." Pezeshkian added, "The U.S. attack had no logical justification."

Vladimir Putin mentioned that Moscow takes every opportunity to meet, talk, and consult with Tehran. Expressing pleasure at meeting Pezeshkian again, he stated that the friendly relations between Russia and Iran are steadily developing in all areas and that these relations are progressing in accordance with the "text and spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement" between the two countries.

Abbas Araghchi, at the end of the first day of the Shanghai summit in Kyrgyzstan, said: "One of the topics raised in all meetings was the Islamabad agreement." He stated, "The U.S. must return to its commitments and adhere to the provisions of the memorandum of understanding; only then can we exit this situation, as all countries are concerned about ending the war as soon as possible."
Masoud Pezeshkian met separately today with the leaders of India, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the Shanghai summit. Xi Jinping, the President of China, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, Masoud Pezeshkian, and more than 12 other leaders have gathered today in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس‌جمهوری اسلامی ایران، روز سه‌شنبه ۱۰ شهریور در دیدار با ولادیمیر پوتین، رئیس‌جمهوری روسیه اعلام کرد که اگر ایالات متحده آمریکا به تفاهم‌نامه اسلام‌آباد برگردد، تهران نیز آماده است که به مفاد آن عمل کند.

پزشکیان، در این دیدار که در حاشیه نشست سران سازمان همکاری شانگهای برگزار شد، حضور ایران در سازمان‌هایی چون شانگهای و بریکس را تلاشی برای مقابله با «یک‌جانبه‌گرایی» آمریکا توصیف کرد.
پزشکیان در ادامه با تاکید بر تفاهم ایران و روسیه در زمینه ضرورت چندجانبه‌سازی در سیاست و اقتصاد جهانی، ابراز امیدواری کرد که این فرآیند به شکلی موفق پیش برود.

مسعود پزشکیان، رییس دولت جمهوری اسلامی، در دیدار با ولادیمیر پوتین، رییس‌جمهور روسیه، گفت: «از موضع روسیه درباره جنگ و تحریم‌ها تشکر می‌کنیم. می‌توانیم در برابر یک‌جانبه‌گرایی آمریکا مقاومت کنیم. آمریکا حق ندارد تحریم اعمال کند و قوانین بین‌المللی را نقض کند.»

ولادیمیر پوتین، گفت مسکو از هر فرصتی برای دیدار، گفتگو و انجام رایزنی با تهران استفاده می‌کند.
پوتین با ابراز خرسندی از دیدار دوباره با پزشکیان گفت روابط دوستانه روسیه و ایران در همه زمینه‌ها به‌طور باثبات در حال توسعه است و این روابط مطابق با «متن و روح پیمان مشارکت جامع راهبردی» میان دو کشور پیش می‌رود.

عباس عراقچی در پایان روز نخست نشست سران شانگهای در قرقیزستان گفت: «یکی از موضوعات مطرح‌شده در تمامی دیدارها، تفاهم‌نامه اسلام‌آباد بود.»
عباس عراقچی گفت «آمریکا باید به تعهدات خود بازگردد و به مفاد یادداشت تفاهم پایبند باشد؛ پس از آن می‌توانیم از این وضعیت خارج شویم چون همه کشورها دغدغه دارند که جنگ هرچه سریع‌تر خاتمه پیدا کند.»
مسعود پزشکیان امروز در حاشیه نشست شانگهای با رهبران هند، پاکستان و آذربایجان به طور جداگانه دیدار کرد.
شی جین‌پینگ، رئیس‌جمهور چین، ولادیمیر پوتین، رئیس‌جمهور روسیه، مسعود پزشکیان و بیش از ۱۲ رهبر دیگر امروز در قرقیزستان گرد هم آمده‌اند تا در نشست دو روزه سازمان همکاری شانگهای شرکت کنند.
