Simultaneously with the news of the presence of "Hijab Enforcers" in Tehran's markets and statements from some officials of the Islamic Republic regarding the necessity of "mandatory hijab," images have been published showing banners installed in various cities across Iran, threatening women with legal punishment for not adhering to the government's hijab requirements.

These banners reference Clause 638 of the Islamic Penal Code, stating: "The presence of women without proper hijab in public places is a crime and carries a penalty of imprisonment."

The installed banners also refer to Articles 7 and 9 of the law known as "Support for Promoters of Virtue and Preventers of Vice." In the explanation of Article 7, it is stated that individuals who obstruct "promotion of virtue and prevention of vice" will not be eligible for a reduction or suspension of punishment.

همزمان با انتشار اخباری از حضور «حجاب‌بان‌ها» در بازار تهران و سخنان برخی از مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی در رابطه با لزوم «اجبار حجاب»، تصاویری از نصب بنرهایی در شهرهای مختلف ایران منتشر شده که در آن‌ها زنان به مجازات قضایی در صورت رعایت نکردن حجاب مورد نظر حکومت تهدید شده‌اند.

در این بنرها، به تبصره ماده ۶۳۸ قانون مجازات اسلامی استناد شده و آمده است: «حضور بانوان بدون حجاب شرعی در معابر و انظار عمومی جرم و دارای مجازات حبس است.»

در بنر نصب‌شده همچنین به مواد ۷ و ۹ قانون موسوم به «حمایت از آمران به معروف و ناهیان از منکر» اشاره شده است. در توضیح ماده ۷ نوشته شده افرادی که در برابر «امر به معروف و نهی از منکر» مانع ایجاد کنند، مشمول تخفیف یا تعلیق مجازات نمی‌شوند.
