U.S. Treasury Secretary: We are identifying and tracking the assets of the IRGC

Scott Basant, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, announced on Tuesday, September 10, on the sidelines of the G20 finance ministers and senior officials meeting, that Washington is intensifying economic pressure on Iran and that the U.S. will likely sanction one bank this week and another bank next week.

Basant said: "We will likely announce the sanction of one bank this week and another next week." He added that the U.S. is in discussions with its allies on this matter and has their support.
The U.S. Treasury Secretary also stated that Washington is considering sanctions against aircraft leasing companies and other entities that trade with the IRGC.
He said: "These could be various entities. They could be aircraft leasing companies that we will review. It could be anyone who trades with the IRGC. We are identifying and tracking the assets of the IRGC."

وزیر خزانه‌داری آمریکا: در حال شناسایی و ردیابی دارایی‌های سپاه هستیم

اسکات بسنت، وزیر خزانه‌داری آمریکا، روز سه‌شنبه ۱۰ شهریور در حاشیه نشست وزیران و مقام‌های ارشد مالی گروه ۲۰، از تشدید فشار اقتصادی واشنگتن بر ایران خبر داد و گفت آمریکا احتمالا این هفته یک بانک و هفته آینده یک بانک دیگر را تحریم خواهد کرد.

بسنت گفت: «احتمالا این هفته تحریم یک بانک را اعلام خواهیم کرد و هفته بعد نیز یکی دیگر را اعلام می‌کنیم.»
او افزود آمریکا در این زمینه با متحدان خود در حال گفت‌وگو است و از حمایت آنها برخوردار است.
وزیر خزانه‌داری آمریکا همچنین گفت واشنگتن در حال بررسی تحریم شرکت‌های لیزینگ هواپیما و دیگر نهادهایی است که با سپاه پاسداران تجارت می‌کنند.
او گفت: «ممکن است این‌ها نهادهای مختلفی باشند. ممکن است شرکت‌های لیزینگ هواپیما باشند که آنها را بررسی خواهیم کرد. ممکن است هر کسی باشد که با سپاه پاسداران تجارت می‌کند. ما در حال شناسایی و ردیابی دارایی‌های سپاه هستیم.»
