According to statistics released by the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, the average daily consumption of gasoline in the first week of September has exceeded 148 million liters.

Based on these statistics, the highest daily demand in the first 8 days of the last month of summer was over 154 million liters, and during this period, more than 1.2 billion liters of gasoline were supplied in total.

The severe reduction in production capacity in recent months due to U.S. attacks on Iran's oil facilities on one hand, and the government's difficulties in importing gasoline from other countries on the other, have led to an increase in gasoline prices and even raised the possibility of further price hikes and a sharp increase in demand for it.

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, and several other officials have emphasized that the government does not have much capacity to import gasoline, especially to supply it at previous prices. However, the Iranian government claims that the formation of queues at some gasoline supply stations is due to excitement and psychological pressure, and there is no problem in supplying the country's gasoline needs.
