Scott Basset, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, stated in an interview with Newsmax that the United States is not necessarily seeking the collapse of the Islamic Republic of Iran, although internal developments and a popular uprising are possible. He also pointed out the personal risks facing Iranian leaders and military commanders as pressures increase.

Basset dismissed Iran's claims about controlling the Strait of Hormuz, stating that with approximately 17 million barrels of oil passing through yesterday, Iran's control over this strait is meaningless. He also denied reports of mines or collisions between two ships with mines in the Strait of Hormuz, accusing the media of quickly republishing Iran's false claims.

The U.S. Treasury Secretary emphasized that despite China's continued purchase of Iranian oil, only about 30 million barrels of Iranian oil remain on the water, and these reserves will soon be depleted.

Basset had also emphasized yesterday during a speech at the G20 Economic Summit that economic pressures would either lead to a rift and division within the Revolutionary Guard and possibly a confrontation with the people or that Tehran officials would decide to return to the negotiating table.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, in an interview with i24 News regarding the Iranian regime, said: "Our forces can be there at any moment. We will defeat this regime."

When asked if by defeating he meant the fall of the regime, he replied: "Yes, it will fall, and we will bring it down."

In response to the question of whether Roman Gofman, the head of Mossad, is working to overthrow the Islamic Republic, he said: "All our agencies are operating under my guidance to overthrow and defeat this regime."

Netanyahu stated: "In the end, we will confront the head of the octopus, cut off its arms, and target the axis of evil in Iran. We have done this with great power; our pilots were there and can be there at any moment."

اسکات بسنت، وزیر خزانه‌داری آمریکا در گفتگو با شبکه نیوزمکس گفت که ایالات متحده لزوما به دنبال فروپاشی جمهوری اسلامی ایران نیست، هرچند تحولات درونی و قیام مردم امکان‌پذیر است.
او همچنین به مخاطرات شخصی پیش‌روی رهبران و فرماندهان نظامی ایران با افزایش فشارها اشاره کرد.

بسنت ادعاهای ایران درباره کنترل بر تنگه هرمز را رد کرد و گفت با عبور حدود ۱۷ میلیون بشکه نفت در روز گذشته، کنترل ایران بر این تنگه بی‌معناست. او همچنین گزارش‌ها درباره وجود مین یا برخورد دو کشتی با مین در تنگه هرمز را تکذیب کرد و رسانه‌ها را به بازنشر سریع ادعاهای نادرست ایران متهم ساخت.

وزیر خزانه‌داری آمریکا، با اشاره به تداوم خرید نفت ایران توسط چین تاکید کرد که تنها حدود ۳۰ میلیون بشکه نفت ایران روی آب باقی مانده و این ذخایر نیز به‌زودی به پایان خواهد رسید.

بسنت روز گذشته نیز در جریان سخنرانی در مجمع اقتصادی جی۲۰، تاکید کرده بود که فشارهای اقتصادی یا به ایجاد شکاف و دودستگی در سپاه پاسداران و احتمالا مقابله مردم با آن‌ها منجر می‌شود یا مقام‌های تهران تصمیم می‌گیرند که به میز مذاکره بازگردند.

بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل، در گفت‌وگو با شبکه آی‌۲۴ درباره حکومت ایران گفت: «نیروهای ما می‌توانند هر لحظه در آنجا باشند. ما این حکومت را شکست خواهیم داد.»

نتانیاهو درباره اینکه آیا منظور او از شکست دادن، سقوط کردن حکومت است، گفت: «بله، سقوط خواهد کرد و ما آن را سرنگون می‌کنیم.»

نتانیاهو در پاسخ به این سوال که آیا رومان گوفمن، رییس موساد، برای سرنگونی جمهوری اسلامی فعالیت می‌کند، گفت: «همه دستگاه‌های ما تحت هدایت من برای سرنگونی این حکومت و شکست آن فعالیت می‌کنند.»

نتانیاهو گفت: «در نهایت با سر اختاپوس، برخورد خواهیم کرد، بازوها را قطع خواهیم کرد و محور شر ایران را هدف قرار خواهیم داد. این کار را با قدرت بسیار انجام دادیم؛ خلبانان ما آنجا بودند و هر لحظه می‌توانند آن جا باشند.»
